I haven't bought this product, but I have bought similar products from Walmart. We purchased a Euro-Style futon for a guest room that was similarly priced based mostly on site reviews. After getting it home and setting the thing up, we quickly decided to not trust Walmart site reviews any more.

That being said, thanks to Walmart's generous return policies you would have nothing but time to lose if you purchased the item and found out you don't like it. Just take it back. If it's great please let us know. I'm still looking for something for that room.

The stretch of a dough is all about the gluten content. If you make it fresh, the molecules are not degraded as they do over time with fridge dough. Try using a flour that is designed for bread machines. Good luck!

Depending on the size needs, A tackle box could be a better fit because of the extra compartmentalized nature. I've used an inexpensive tool box as a large valet for the past year. If I ever find an antique one I like better and that functions better, I will replace it.

As someone who does have to have credentials posted daily, I can see both sides of this. Currently I absolutely would not want my degrees posted in my home because, to me, it screams "WORK." However, when I have children it may be nice to have a diploma on the wall somewhere for them to look at. Many households post their children's accomplishments all over the place, whether it be a drawing or a test grade. Having a diploma up could be a good parental example for a child to see.

When I wanted to try this in the past I used a milk crate to set my laptop on. I enjoyed the change but to be more effective for me I really need the option of a chair completely removed. Until I find a way to make standing a viable option in my office situation, the milk/file crate sits under a chair as an optional footrest for clients.

I'm with Melle on this one. I waited forever to get a dedicated mp3 player and the one I bought wasn't the newest thing out at the time. Some items don't have to be replaced just because something new is available. I'm thinking of my 7 year old television which is one of the last CRTs. It may take up alot of room, but the picture is good and it will last for years. People often buy tech beyond their needs and sometimes well beyond their means because they don't evaluate the function vs novelty of the device they are buying. While novelty is lost quickly, function will last forever.

It sounds crazy because you need the storage, but getting rid of the bed frame and simply putting your mattress on the floor can make a difference. On the opposite side of things, building a loft to set your mattress on gives alot more floor real estate to work with. Either way, minimalism (or the illusion thereof) really is a big part of having a decent looking dorm room. Use storage boxes with a throw over them as side tables can help with this.

I have sets of speakers in each room so I can hook up my netbook to watch full episodes of various shows while folding the laundry or listening to music while cooking. We no longer have cable because of how much we can access online.

I've struggled with my yard here in Oklahoma since we bought our house 4 years ago. We have two lots, which gives us alot of space, but the "grass" grows faster than I can keep up with using my push mower. Last summer I took the brave move and killed every bit of green except for the trees. This only worked for a couple of months before the peripheral vegetation crept in.

What it did help was with the very tall weeds throughout the yard. This year the yard has been much easier to mow with my little $140 gas powered Honda. Edging it all back and maybe putting down some mulched landscaping in the especially difficult areas to mow could help alot.

Some pans have a hex key headed bolt on the bottom side of the panhandle. you should be able to undo it there if it is attached this way. If the pan and handle are riveted together instead, you may be out of luck.

how about a small leaning shelf. just a board with shelves mounted to it that you lean against the wall. It would have to be really small to fit in there, but it may give you some added space for small toiletries or washcloths.

1) Keep collecting until you have 8 glass jars full, get a decent used coffee table, glue the caps across the surface of the table, coat the top with some clear polymer or many layers of polyurethane to fill in the gaps between caps or cover the top with glass. 2) same idea, start gluing the caps you have at the corners of the table so you have a level surface on which to place the glass and just glue more down as you collect them, filling in toward the middle.

Sometimes the best service spot is very inconvenient for talking, like on a nightstand or bookshelf. In the past I have used a car adapter while sitting on a bed with the phone laying on the nightstand, and that worked very well. Now that bluetooth headsets are reasonably priced, it may be a good idea to keep one handy to use while leaving your phone in a spot with good service.

As a former Resident Advisor, I've seen MANY modifications to a dorm room. Here are some of my favorites.

1) Try making a lightweight wooden frame that will fit large blank spots on the wall and covering it with any fabric you like (think of a painters canvas). Cover any cork boards with the same fabric or mix it up.

2) Many people in my dorm made loft beds and slid their desks under them, then stored their bed frames disassembled in their closet. Make sure you build it sturdy.

3) Rug - I agree that one is needed, but not an expensive one. As stated above, MANY "bad things" can happen to a dorm rug.

4) Check out thrift stores in the area for a cheap loveseat and cover it with a cheap king sized sheet of comforter after a heavy spraying of Lysol and Febreze. These fit great under a lofted bed.

5) Get either a hollow core door ($20 at a hardware store) or take the door off your closet. Clamp the door to your desk or set it on your bed as needed for increased work area. If you have a single room (you're lucky) you may have two of everything. Set the door across your two desks to make one nice big work area.

6) It sounds cheesy, but get a plant. A nice big plant to put in your work area. It will brighten the room and produce much needed oxygen. Plus, it monitors stress. If you're plant is dying because you're not watering it, you're either over stressed or partying too much to pay attention to what matters.

Remember, anything you do to the room will have to be undone by you before checking out at the end of the semester or year. Be creative and have fun.
