I was housesitting a friend's cat, and I made the mistake of trying to warm up soup in the microwave AND make toast at the same time. Pow, breaker blew. I think the people finding this apt. grim/bleak would like it better if the window shades were up and all the pics had that slightly overexposed look popular in design magazines. I also felt a bit bleah about the pics, but upon closer examination, I think the loveliness is in there. It's fine! But I bet a chair with arms would be more comfortable, especially for men. You have the space, so you could take it from being "something to sit on" to being "the super best chair ever." Arms make a chair more comfortable partly because the person seated will change positions more frequently. Is New Chair Too Small Next to Big Sofa? While it doesn't look great in this photograph, you have to finish it and put in the accessories before you give up on the existing paint job. If there's normally art or shelving or mirror on that blank wall area, then you have to see it again with the stuff in place. Every room looks its worst during painting. Help! Wrong Green.
