I use a combination of yogurt and green tea powder. It's not exactly a scrub but the lactose in the yogurt helps to exfoliate and the green tea helps soothe. I prefer using strawberry yogurt but any flavor will do :P

I've always recycled, we did it growing up.

As an adult, the first "green" habit I adopted was ditching plastic water bottles. Although I still love the taste of spring water, not the yucky filtered bottled water. I bought a brita filter and a couple of reusable bottles to tote around outside the home. At first I hated it but it's not so bad anymore.

The biggest time waster is thinking of what to make. If my husband or roommate come up with a suggestion, I can whip it together pretty quick. Sometimes I can come up with meal ideas but those nights when I'm lost, it'll be 8pm before I finally get into the kitchen and whip something together.

I do a lot of multitasking while I cook but if I forget to soften the butter at room temperature or defrost meat, that puts a wrench into my time table. In those cases, I make use of the microwave to help me out in a pinch.

However if I forget to preheat the oven while chopping veggies or something similar, I'll shake my head and move along.

With the extra time that I have to wait, I'll bring homework in the kitchen with me or read while I wait for the food to finish cooking if i don't have anything left to do.

I also "clean" as I go along. I can't stand a messy kitchen. By clean, I mean put the spices away when I'm done with them, put things back in the fridge, put the dirty dishes in the sink. My husband does the dishes after dinner.

This may be a stupid question but how do you know it's bad corn before eating it?

Do you pop a kernel off and taste it first?

I use water and a veggie brush. Whatever is left over I just deal with.

In Korea they only use the stove, no oven. Like the English kettle, the rice cooker is on all the time.

My relatives also had a beverage door in their refrigerator similar to the one seen here: http://bit.ly/aFiixj

They also handwashed all their dishes. They had a small counter top sanitizer but it wasn't a dishwasher.

In Korea they would also use a portable gas grill for grilling Korean style bbq.

Have something cooking inside, like in the crockpot. After a yard sale, I don't feel like cooking and I hate going out to dinner with the money I just earned.

I too use evernote with a tag of "future home". Sometimes I'll tag items with "kids" for when I see something cute that I want to do whenever I have children.

I like eating my sprouts with a bagel. I spread some chive and onion cream cheese on, top with sprouts and a slice of tomato and then sprinkle a little salt and pepper and then share the other half with my husband. He hates eating "rabbit food" but he loves this treat!

This came in perfect timing! I actually just emailed my grandmother with pictures of my herbs and asked her for advice since some of mine were a little spindly.

This reminds me of the shark steam vac I see on late night commercials. I really want one but I want one that is multi-purpose. I want to use the same device to steam clean my counters or grout in the bathroom and then maybe a different attachment to steam clean some clothing when they get wrinkled.

I live in State College, Pa. I just moved here too so I have no idea what is fresh or in season.
