As a mom who likes modern aesthetics and typography myself, my girls' rooms are fairly neutral but that actually frees us to introduce and rotate colorful toys and books and wall decor without having to be too concerned with having the room decor distract from it. There enough "pop" in kids' toys, books, and artwork to bring color to the room and babies see strong contrasting black and white graphics better at this stage anyway. I can't say this for everyone else but the bedroom is primarily for sleeping and resting and quiet time (at least in our home), do we really want an overdose of color or themed graphics?

I saw Suzy's work in person this past weekend at the Igloo Letterpress (http://iglooletterpress.com/) anniversary bazaar in Worthington, Ohio and loved it! I was so surprised that I had not seen more of her designs around and lo and behold, this pops up on my feed reader! :o)

I pushpin-ed some alphabet flashcards onto a fabric-covered canvas, and also framed them in 4 X 6 frames for both of my daughter's spaces. Here are some photos,

i first saw the clipboard-on-wall idea at the studio tour of ali edwards,

and purchased some clipboards during back-to-school sale to do the same and i love it! it's such a fuss-free way to display less-standard sized prints and to rotate them around.
