Seriously.....waste??? don't we all waste something or the other at some point in our lives?
lets eat straight out of the pots we cook in so we don;t waste plates and soap and water to wash them!
Considering the amount of wastage one sees especially in the USA.....restaurants serving like a litre of water per glass to each customer - the huge portion sizes - the wastage of stationery....this is NOTHING!

"Tomato Omelette" such a misleading term but widely used in India to refer to eggless omlettes made out of chickpea flour. My poor veggie dad was once taken by surprise when he ordered "tomato omelette" in a restaurant in the US =)

Are you all not a family? then why such a strong need for personal space? Food i totally understand....we don;t allow food anywhere except the kitchen and occasionally in the living room...but how can you keep your kids out of your room? If they bring in toys...make sure they take them back to where they belong....and like everyother space in the house - keep non kid friendly stuff out of reach....as simple as that!
But please don;t create such boundaries....it is just sad! they will be gone before you know it!

I agree wholeheartedly with Thera! Just make sure they clean up afterwards...banishing them in a single room is so boring. Let them be free and have fun- of course there have to be some rules - they can;t be throwing around lego pieces- but broadly let them be free and creative.....spend a few minutes everyday to enforce the clean up rule eventually it will work! and all these playrooms look fancy but does the child even appreciate the decor or care? they want to just have fun!

Very nice from what little we can see, but I don;t get the flow of the space or the apartment either because there are too many close ups...which are fabulous too but then that is not the point of a house tour....house tour is about the entire space....fabulous collectibles/ knick knacks are for another post.

I LOVE THE RUG =)

As long as the food is going to be eaten or used, am fine with food art else it is just plain wrong.

I grew up in India using reusable bags made from cloth, old clothes, paper - you name it - whatever suits your wallet...and also bags were not given out that easily by any stores - unlike in the US - if you asked for an extra bag - it would be forwned upon - sadly all of this is changing!

Its just a matter of getting used to! Just think of it as your personal contribution to save the environment!

i totally agree with Justin - really....expecting the jar back! if its so precious - keep it with you and you can reuse it. Its a different case with friends/ family whom you see almost everyday and are giving some stuff that you may have made extra of or its a casual exchange! really....

when i was growing up (it was hot and humid) my grandma/ mommmy always told me to drink room temp water or drinks to cool down and not very cold. Also it was recommended to not drink something really cold after coming in from really hot environment...we were told to wait a few minutes, let the body adjust to the cooler emvironment and then drink soemthing.

Didn;t work for us either....kept knocking the glasses off....i prefer designating a glass/place on our counter per person. Another good idea is to use chalkboard glass markers - just like the wineglass markers!!
