Hi, I have 2 things to share:
1. That second kitchen is mine (thanks for including) and FYI the sink is the IKEA Domsjo double bowl (also comes in single bowl version). Faucet and cabinets also IKEA.
2. Margot has a t at the end ;-) (I'm so protective of my wee t) cheers,M

Many of the commenters on the original post missed the info after this phrase in the article: "Tackle this project in one of three ways, according to your time, budget and skill level." Such a shame. Also such a shame that people seem hung up on the notion of DIY when this is really not DIY at all but a creative collaboration between a stylist, Kevin Austin, and a master upholsterer, Patrick Kennedy.

OK, now for full disclosure: not only do I work at STYLE AT HOME as senior design editor but also, Kevin Austin, the freelancer who did this project, is my husband. So yes, I am WAAAAYY biased

Wow, tough crowd. Here's the deal on the tag: 1. This was a quick shot I took for the purposes of getting all the credits right for the story for STYLE AT HOME mag -- so a tag showing wasn't a prob at the time. 2. In real life I would have cut it off, but in the world of mag shoots we borrow and return items, tags intact. 3. When I posted the shot on my personal blog I would love to have gotten rid of the tag but I don't have/know how to use Photoshop.

Please, please, will y'all forgive me for this terrible tag transgression?

FYI, everything in the pic is from IKEA circa Spring 2007.

OK folks, clue in. Antique furniture is smaller because people used to be smaller before everything on your plate was supersized. And this idea that young people can't/shouldn't be in an antique filled room with lots of stuff is just plain bananas. And another thing, the book is by Steinbeck, not Hemmingway. Steinbeck inspired this whole catalogue shoot.
