I think D because of the sculpted seat and extended height back ... C could be it too, but on second glance it could also be contemporary patio furniture (waiting to see how wrong I am!)

Poo-poo to all the 'money commenters' -- this room could be pulled off within a variety of budget limitations and is a great inspiration post. Just like I use the hand-made, DIY-heavy tours as inspirations to figure out what I'm capable of doing, others could look at this room and figure out how to create the same look within their own budget.

Though it would be cool if Sissy + Marley could show their designer chops and present a similar-styled room for less than, say, $1,000?

To the poster who asked what is meant by a 'railroad apartment', see here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Railroad_apartment. (I seem to remember learning about these in grade school).

I like the sparse, white-grey look, and agree with other comments that compare this tour to a beach house feel. But on that note, the sparse furnishings could do with some softer, cushier additions (what I also love about simple, comfortable homes). The 'full' shelves could be repeated elsewhere to bring colour & substance, and an over-stuffed chair would be better suited to curling up on and reading an old copy of Moby Dick than any options I could see.

As a parting comment, keep going with the renovation and don't forget to put back in some of the functionality to the kitchen, still using your style.

I really enjoyed this tour too -- except for the annoying pop-up ads another poster mentioned! Especially with the details and vignettes of accessories that Kelly & Jonathan created, I felt robbed of fully exploring each picture -- can someone at AT help?!

So glad to see an actual 'apartment' on Apartment Therapy!

As non-owners too, I am totally jealous of your clever landlord and impressed with your use of the space. I'm having a sense of parallel lives in different cities though too -- we used to rent a top-floor walk-up in Boston with skylights, my grandmother's secretary, and two mis-matched Jacobsen Seven chairs with our IKEA country kitchen table. Now I can see 'what could have been' if I pared down all of the 'stuff' carried through the years between my husband and I. And also had a talented friend to design/build shelves for us. :)

The moral of story ... BRAVO on a great place and a cute dog too!

Really like the overall style -- no space is identical to the other, but it's still all cohesive and works well together.

However ... you could easily lose ten remotes in that array of pillows in the 'man cave'.

I really like the layout and colour choices. To be honest, I had to keep going back to the pictures while reading through the comments -- the wall paint has the right amount of 'stone' (not powder blue) and is a good neutral base for the other pops of colour. I would suggest maybe a rug for under the dining table to make the set stand out more from the honey floors.

Also, curious as to what the first comment is referring to in regards to your poster? It is only in the first picture, so maybe it's a new addition? Regardless, 'Keep Calm and Carry On' is my personal mantra du jour and I think it fits with the serenity of your place (and view). Great job!

Both rooms seem fun and I'd classify them as a combination between the teen girl company delia*s (which also has bedroom decor) and the more grown-up furnishings company West Elm.

I don't think the shoes can be considered 'left out' as they are in a dressing room. I can picture her lounging around with friends trying on clothes or getting ready for a party or prom.

I really like what was done with not only the space you had in terms of decoration, colour and storage, but also by the ingenious idea of creating a new room within your existing apartment. A nursery should have visual stimulation (from mobiles, toys, and use of primary colours - like yellow), but also allow for a calm, relaxing and airy environment to easily sleep. This space has a great combination of both.
