Are all of these photos taken from different angles? Photo 1 has no windows, Photo 2 shows 2 windows (on adjacent walls). The photo that shows the room during the renovation has an abundance of windows, what happened to them?? Getting Real: Projects Aren't Always Pretty Young House Love |

Thank you for this post. It is very timely for me. I have been comparing my home to others, forgetting that after a long search, there was a reason I chose this one. I am starting off my year cleaning and organizing and getting this place to what I visualized when I found it. Thanks!! Resolution: Loving Your Home, Flaws and All |

I had a cat when I was young who would do this only because he was so nosy he just had to be in the know and wanted to be wherever we were. He was really good in the car too; we would take him upstate to our vacation house and he didn't even need a carrier. It totally depends on the cat's personality. Unlike dogs, they dont respond well to commands and only do what they WANT to do. Would You Leash-Train Your Cat? The New York Times |

Is it too much that I did a similar color with a turquoise-like color two years ago? Too much for some, but in my house with little direct sunlight it brightened things up and I love it!! Designer's Palette: Using 2012's Color of the Year at Home |

I totally agree with changing out the lighting, mirror and accessories, I was shocked at how these few changes made my beige tiled bathroom look almost brand new! It is true that the quality of light does effect how you see a color as well. This is absolutely true. Tile-Painting Tips or Avoid it Altogether? Good Questions |

I really don't agree with leave the old cabinets if you are going to flip a place those cabinets do not appeal to a wide market of people and unfortunately white does. I do agree with the comments on the placement of the appliances, it does not seem set up efficiently. Before & After: From Wrecked to Airy White Kitchen Two Thirty-Five Designs |

Though the colors are not bold, I love this room. It has a very calming effect and does truly remind me of the ocean Jamie 's "Sand & Sea" Dining Room |

I think the island is a "work station". This seems to be a cute little crafts/work room judging from the supplies I see cleverly distributed throughout the room. Before & After: An Outdated Room Gets a Major Makeover Older And Wiser |

People are saving these days. There are some great lovingly used items out there these days and for me, the retail items are all starting to look alike (and prices are getting ridiculously high) and I feel they are not worth splurging on. Love quartz and would never go back. These countertops are indistructible! Hot pots, cutting without a cutting board, spills that would normally stain are no problem for these counter tops - definately worth it!! Stainless on the other hand can be a pain, but it too has stood the test of time. White is nice, but not really a fashion statement. Kitchen Designers Predict Trends for 2011 and Beyond |

Could benefit from some really huge area rugs to break up the floors. Love the colors, textures and the peacock frames are to DIE for. There is a warmth missing. Artwork and area rugs would solve that issue. Vanessa Deleon's "Glamilistic" Studio Apartment House Tour |

The real problem? The loss of gym class - the opportunity to work out. We used to eat all of these foods in school and had very few fat children. Why? Because we participated in so many physical activities (at home and school). Instead of focusing on the food, we should focus on the physical activity for at least 30 minutes per day. Parents could try taking walks with their kids when they get home which is a great way of winding down (and getting a chance to talk). I still do it with my daughter (she's 21) and she loves it. That fridge is not as massive as it looks, it just has a big profile. It is really no bigger than a regular side by side. I've compared them. And yes, some of us really do have that much food that needs refridgerating/freezing. We don't all go to the market every day.
