just bought a sleeper sofa from JC Penny. 70 long x34 deep. (full size mattress) They had a twin size sleeper also. Prices were fair and a lot of upholstery choices. fits into my small space very nicely, and I can get up and out of it!

Fellowes and Sentinel make the best shredders for around the hundred dollar mark. Costco has one for 89.00 and offers a coupon occasionally to reduce the cost. These shredders are workhorses. They are not petite in size, but are fairly quiet, and can handle cd's, credit cards, and just about anything else. They will jam once in a while when fed thick, unopened envelopes. Having purchased the cheaper, smaller models didn't pay. Then after it's shredded we take it to the recycle bin feeling better.....

You might want to try looking at used hotel furniture. I was looking for oriental chairs, and found some wonderful examples, for $45. There may be something similar in the style you are looking for. Good Luck.

try going to a sheet metal fab shop with the dimensions of your oven top. measure the height with the burners in place. Some places will talk to you, and some don't want to be bothered. you might also talk to someome who installs big hvac units. They might be able to help you ,too.If you want a tigh fit, they may charge you extra for bending the metal. Just a thought. (small shops may be more willing to do the work for you..)

What do you do for 3-way lighting? I have not seen anything. It seems most of my lamps are set up for that.

Any help would be appreciated.

I recently painted my bathroom an awesome green, a bold color choice for me! When it came time to do the ceiling, I went one color lighter on the color strip. (My color shoice was the middle tone.) It looks very good and I was quite pleased that it was not white. I think if you stay in the lighter end of the color, it will complement, not compete with the walls. But hey, to each their own, so experiment!

Start saving. Start looking for an area of the city you want to live in. Rent a truck, and tow the car. That way you are in control of your move. If anything, find someone ahead of time who can give you a hand with driving/moving. I did it for a friend moving back to Illinois and we turned it into an adventure. Hope this helps. Chicago is a great place!

You have given me some ideas for a full sun exposure. It might help to cut down on summer sun to keep my house cooler! Thanks for the pictures. When it is mature, how do you handle the pruning for winter?

I have been shopping for new living room furniture, (on a budget of $1500,) and cannot find small scale furniture ready made. The best couch I found was at Pier One, and lost it due to a stock reduction sale. Everything out there is overstuffed, and waaay out of scale for a room only 10' 6'' wide. I would like a couch less that 36" deep because getting up and down causes a problem for a family member. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.

you could try "limo tint" for tinting car windows. It comes in shades of gray and you can cut patterns and mount it on your doors. I cut it into squares, and made a simple graphic design. Easy on, Easy off. I have also taped off a pattern and used Christmas window spray that looks like frost. Cleaning it requires ammonia though, and takes several tries before it comes completely offffffff.....makes for an interesting Japanese screen treatment. Hope this helps.
