I like this apartment a lot, and the clutter doesn't bother me. In fact, it looks safely contained and interesting in a way. In fact, I find this post even more appealing because it looks like someone actually lives in the apartment, and not some staged space or a W Hotel. I love how there's both a masculine and a feminine touch to his craft. It's both delicate, but durable; hard, yet pliable, and modern, but based in tradition. It makes me think of the work of the fantastic masculine crochet artist, Nathan Vincent http://www.nathanvincent.com. Apartment Therapy New York | Modern Quilts by Luke Haynes |

Thrift is best. That way you can measure the piece and make sure the proportions are correct. Make sure, though, that the shelves are sturdy and will hold up when you tip the piece. Stay away from bracketed shelves for this purpose. Apartment Therapy New York | Good Questions: Bookshelf Headboard Options? |

Go right to your local thrift shop. That way you can see the goods in person and measure it for the right proportions. Large furniture items like this show up in thrift stores every day, so be persistent and you'll find a bookcase that suits your needs. Just make sure that the shelves will be secure when you tip it on its side. Avoid ones with bracketed shelves. Apartment Therapy New York | Good Questions: Bookshelf Headboard Options? |
