My parents are crazy about anything vintage (1950's or earlier). Dragging me to all those flea markets and antique fairs must have rubbed off, because now my home has lamps from the 1930's, a curio cabinet from the 1940's and a newly made couch that looks like it was from the Jazz era. MC Nicole - I live in an old building without central air - so I have window-unit air conditioners. I found that putting the air-conditioner on "low fan" every night really helps drown out the 24 hour buses and the "colorful" nightlife quite well. I have some dark blue (fabric) Samsonite luggage - great for traveling but pretty boring to look at. I'd like to spruce it up a bit before an upcoming trip - maybe by using spraypaint to stencil a simple design or make stripes? Apartment Therapy - Open Thread 75 |
