I think chandeliers in the bedroom are pretty cool. The vision of what I'd like my bedroom to look like (when it's all said and done) would look great with a chandelier. A few of my friends and I used to get together after work once a week for "craft night". We'd bring our own craft to work on while we caught up with each other and drank wine. It was a good excuse to actually sit down and work on our own unique hobby plus spend time with each other. I was working on a quilt, another friend liked jewelry making, and another was doing all sorts of stuff. We had one friend who was finishing up her degree and didn't have time to start a hobby crafting, so she would just write notecards while we were chatting and crafting away. If you like the idea of your dishes showing, you could probably save a lot of money by simply installing shelves instead of cabinets. Especially if your dishes are white, you'll still get that strikeing white on green effect. I've liked the idea when I've seen it on AT. That dresser looks awesome. It's exactly how I'd like my dresser to look. I've been trying to research the best way to paint furniture to make it look just right and would love to know exactly how she did it. Like what type of paint (oil based, laquer)? What sheen? How many coats? Sand btwn coats? Varnish it? I'm so lost. Pretty new at this too. And I've learned in my recent research that I've been doing it all wrong up to this point.
