Oh wait, Nascmile. The ladder shelving is from Wal-Mart. The shelf with the Ugly Dolls is from CB2.

Nascmile: I got them at Wal-Mart online. They were about $75. Congratulations on the soon-to-be, or the bundle of joy as the case may be!

Thanks Rachida! :) The lamp is from Ikea and it's called STRANNE for $49.99. I seem to recall there was a floorlamp version of it too. Anyway, here's a link:

Mommyof2: How true! Certainly for me anyway. Well said. Thanks for posting. :)

Wednesdayaddams: The daybed is from CB2 and it's great because it folds out to queen size. The nursery doubles as a guest room (and we've had lots of guests!) so this was a nice solution. Two drawbacks are that it's not super comfortable. We put a featherbed on top for guests. Also, it's a weave fabric and our dog's hair is very difficult to get off. Otherwise, I think it looks great and was relatively affordable.

be2124: The wall color is actually just the creamy white rental home color. It was like that when we moved in.

Pencils: no one would argue the dangers of leaving a child unattended on a changing table. My child is simply NOT unattended. My husband is taking the photos and I am right there, cropped out of course! The criteria for "attended" or "unattended" can obviously be disputed. For me, it's your presumption that is insulting. But if you truly think you are saving a child, then I suppose your speaking up is warranted. I believe your point is taken. Thank you.

Jennifer

How fun! What type of paint did you use? I love huge art that makes a statement. :)

Ok. Amy, Pencils, this is an inappropriate forum for you to bash me as a parent. My child is not old enough or active enough to pull down the mirror, and the minute she is we will make arrangements for that. In the photo I am within arms length of her on the changing table. And she is clearly not wiggling, and she does not roll. As a breastfeeding, co-sleeping parent I am in tune with her every move and at first flinch I will have my hands on her. Come on people. Look at the pictures for what they are. Design ideas. I really don't think you have a child protective services case here.

Wow. How insulting, Pencils. (And I've been worried about what people would think about her taking formula now and again!) :)

m123: the lamp on the bookshelf is from Ikea circa about a year ago. It's got bendy, snakey arms that you can shape in all different ways. It's neat and gives off a warm glow.

And Leslieville, the crib doesn't feel too short or pain-inducing. I do know what you mean, because I definitely feel my back when lifting her out of her PaknPlay. Yet, she doesn't currently sleep in her crib, she sleeps in our bedroom, so I probably don't have the repetitive experience to fully advise. I can say it doesn't look inordinately short or tall, and it's probably on the compact side of some of the cribs we looked at. Happily, it's holding up pretty well!

Thanks for the kind comments!

You are very right about that, MamaC. Lila doesn't sleep in her crib, she sleeps in our bedroom 2 floors up (In Twin Peaks most of the homes are very tall!) So it's form over function for awhile anyway. Thanks for your concern. :)
