A brown onion = yellow onion

Different countries call them differently.

Thank you all for the kind, and honest comments. I know some of you think this theme is insane, but for us it was perfect. T.J. is our first born, and she's such a sweet, fun and precious daughter - she was most deserving of it!

The theme was definitely over-the-top. But the party was not. A small family bbq and T.J.'s friends for cake and dessert.

I must admit, months were spent researching and designing aspects of the party for her, but it was all for love.
Everything was handmade - from the invitations, cake, cupcake toppers,to the dessert table and all the food and the favors (each child got their own set of plastic cutlery with a rhinestone on it).

Yes, I am already thinking about her 2nd birthday party (and the 3rd!) but it will be toned down from her first, don't worry!

I am glad that those of you who liked it did, and those who didn't that's ok! It's obviously not for everyone.

T.J. had a wonderful time and we hope she will enjoy many more years of wonderful birthday parties!

I think baby food jars would work really well here too - and cheaper!

Is it just me, or is noone else bothered that it's not centered on the quilt?

I want to push the first line down!!!!

Apart from that, nice job!

What about rewrapping the container in scrapbooking paper (small cans) or wrapping paper for the larger ones. Heck, can you even peel the label off and leave the brown cardboard exposed? (Not sure if the label is glued on or just wrapped, jsut a thought!)

I have kept lots and lots of the container because they seem like a great storage solution for soething.... Just can't work out what to do with it! Right now, I have a dozen under my craft table! I'm also the nut that has kept tons of baby food jars, and can't work out what to do with those either!

I know this may sound silly - but I'm looking for a craft project for my 9.5 month old to do for her grandmothers for mothers day. (I use "to do" lightly, clearly, it will be me, with her help!)

I was thinking of a painting of a bunch of flowers with each petal is her thumbprint. Any other ideas?

Sounds lovely... but we're Jewish! ;)

I don't have the heart to throw out all of the baby food jars.

I was thinking of using them for some sort of craft project or great storage solution.

Does anyone have any great ideas? I don't mind holding onto them until my 8 month old daughter is old enough to create something with them.

I was thinking they are great for paints... anything else?

My Mum is looking to make my daughter felt food for her to play with!

We've looked on etsy, and some patterns are sold, but does anyone know of a good book to buy that's filled with patterns, so we don't have to buy them one by one?

I always use the rice milk boxes. The small ones (like kids juice size) are wonderful! Small enough for a bowl of cereal or 2, or recipes etc!

Hopefully this will come in those smaller boxes!

If this is the same as the new one at babies r us, I was smitten with the look of it.

I took my husband to test it out with me, he sat in it and made this face of horror (I think that's what this unborn baby is going to look like sometimes!!!)

The chair looks good, but it is as heavy as anything so to get that thing rocking is too much effort (my legs were aching from it!)

In terms of the color from the site, it's really not what it looks like, it's more of a light green, the color is actually really nice.

We left the store (disappointed) and without it.
