lovely interiors ... but what of the house that was here before, that got torn down to build this one? not exactly adaptive re-use in a neighborhood that has tons of great 19th century beauties brought up to 21st century sensibilities. Jen & Todd's Modern Masterpiece House Tour |

lovely job with a challenging space. and that stove!!! ... it was made in 1959 and came in three colors: that light pink, a pale yellow, and i know this because i actually own one in the third color it came in, turquoise blue. i haven't used mine in years but it still works like a charm. have done this in past apartments using full/queen/king size sheets depending on the wall size. have also covered icky shelves in linen closet this way. wear rubber gloves and old clothes; its sort of messy but totally easy on/off and i didnt need a second person to do it. you can either use the sheet hem as a design element or cut it off (use sharp x-acto or utility razor knife). These directions could not have come at a better time -- I've just been through yet another flooded floor, and I suspect if I had some of these coralling stuff, things would have gotten a little less soaked and a little more salvageable. Oilcloth for the lower areas, creative fabric for upper -- definitely doable. How To Make an Oilcloth Storage Cube | Apartment Therapy San Francisco |
