Hi everyone, it's Minh here. Thank you for all your kind and constructive comments, it's really great to read them all. After 8 years, we still consider it's a work in progress. Here are my answers to some of your comments and will check back to answer more questions if there are any.

The tub in the studio space is designed by a friend, Shawn Ian Bruce for Jason International. The studio space was designed to be flexible in its use. So even though it is now an office, I can see it becoming a lounge with two sofas, a game room, cabana, etc...

The C&B sofa is a natural or vintage linen, not the antique white. Really great sofa. This is at least the 5h sofa we tried in this space and I think we'll stick with it.

The colors on the kitchen cabinets were Farrow & Ball "Bone" and "Green Stone". The Green Stone is an older color and you might be able to custom order, or get something similar from their current line. The countertop is a hone Ceasarstone.

The pulldown shades in the West and South side of the house (including the bedroom) are all solar shades. It's great to block the heat and you can still get view out. I chose a natural bamboo color with 80% blockage. The white looks great but you can't see out very well.

Thanks everyone for commenting!

But then again, BBDW's stuff is being heavily copied with no consequences. Like their Captain's Mirror. However, BBDW copied the Jacques Adnet original. How do you define what's original?

If it's less than the 3rd of BBDW's price it might be worth buying. But then it probably won't have any resale value compared to BBDW.

Circa Lighting is a retailer. Visual Comfort is actually the manufacturer.

The red rug is from Habitat. www.habitat.net. I brought one back from Paris 10 years ago but it was destroyed by moth during storage. It was a pretty rug.

Oh yes, and I still also have a copy of that '98 Habitat catalog as well in my library.

I live in LA and I'm so jealous of those in Europe with Habitat. I was in Paris 5 years ago and I bought lamps, folding chair and a 6x9 rug and checked it in as luggage. It looked really silly in the airport but I had to have my Habitat fix. Their catalogs also look amazing.

Tasteful interiors can be so boring, so it's great that Domino features spaces that might otherwise deemed as "unlivable" or "distasteful".... or "eccentric".... I can get my safe and tasteful decors in hundreds of other shelter magazine on the newstand.

Part of Domino's success is that it appeals to a younger audience of trend-setters and risk-taker. It has a more fashion-forward perspective. So I appreciate that Domino show us interiors that has a more editorial feel, and not what appears to be "beautiful" to the general public.

Similarly, this is why I like seeing an editorial shoot from W magazine. I might not wear an evening dress riding a horse with a kabuki hairdo and face paint, but it elevates the image into an inspiration-board where I can have my pick of what I can apply to real life.... and maybe it's just one or two small elements.

Imagine going to New York fashion week and seeing variations of different Banana Republic and JCrew outfits, it would be a bore. I want my Galliano, McQueen and Viktor & Rolf spectacle of a show to inspire me.

That's why I think we need more out-of-the-box interiors offered by designers such as Kelly Wearstler. No matter how contrived it might seems, the images are there to inspire or shake up your view about what is tasteful and beautiful. And I truly appreciate that.

I think a better photographer will make this bathroom look fantastic....

And why are there so many spotlight reflections on the tiles?

Only $20,000 USD... a bargain... NOT! This look like it can be reproduced by Illustrator pretty easily and then you can have the poster printed online.

I remember that image actually... it was from Martha Stewart Living magazine years ago!

Any sharp object on the chair, like a metal back pocket button, or back zipper and it's history...
