I have one and it's great. Just plug it in before you watch a video online or whatever, then toss it aside when not needed. Makes a perfect little gift too! I gave one to my brother who's a truckdriver and he loves it when he wants his laptop to be louder. Perfect for the business traveller. It's so portable and just loud enough to fill a hotel room with music without the neighbors complaining. Apartment Therapy Unplugged | Urban Outfitters B-Flex Laptop Speaker |

Casio cameras are very fast, so you don't miss those candid shots. They also have incredible battery life. I don't have to take the charger on a weeklong vacation. Apartment Therapy Unplugged | Good Questions: A Compact Camera With Great Image Stabilization#comments#comments |

So funny, I was thinking my cordless drill was one of the most useless things I ever bought. You always have to charge it up before you can use it, so forget spur of the moment projects. I'd rather just have a drill I can plug in and use right away. Mine's a Black and Decker. It definitely doesn't hold a charge between uses. And who wants to dedicate an outlet to something this unsightly? It's bad enough I have to use one outlet for my carbon monoxide detector. I like this. My livingroom is "Tequila Lime" by Benjamin Moore with lots of wood furniture and I too concentrate on "bringing the inside in". We all spend enough time at the office so it's great for home to feel like a forest. Apartment Therapy Chicago | House Tour: Molly & Raúl's Green Muse |

I guess you are making me glad I got the large capacity battery from Sony for my Vaio laptop. Not only does it last twice as long, but it sticks out at an angle in back and thus props the laptop off the desk a bit, allowing air to pass underneath and keep it cooler. I had the same experience just by painting one long wall of my railroad apartment green (and one little wall). Dark colors recede, correct? So painting your ceiling darker will make it look higher. Also, painting it the same or very similar color to the walls will make it harder to see where the walls end and the ceiling begins thus, again, it looks higher. The exception is where there's an interesting line between the walls and ceiling - such as with a vaulted ceiling, a-frame, curved wall, etc. In that case you want to use a ceiling color that is dramatically different from the walls (i.e. possibly white) to emphasize the unique architecture. Westclox makes the repro, for - you guessed it - three times as much. Still cheap at $25 however. Saw it in a recent issue of Real Simple Magazine (Feb 2007) and Good Housekeeping (June 2007) apparently featured it too: Apartment Therapy - Flickr Finds: Little Melfie's Retro Clock |
