I like this. My livingroom is "Tequila Lime" by Benjamin Moore with lots of wood furniture and I too concentrate on "bringing the inside in". We all spend enough time at the office so it's great for home to feel like a forest.

The color is Benjamin Moore Tequila Lime and it contrasts well with exposed brick, plus brings nature into a room with no windows. Painting the middle of my rental apartment with a vibrant color allowed me to leave the kitchen and bedroom white without being too bland overall.

Dark colors recede, correct? So painting your ceiling darker will make it look higher. Also, painting it the same or very similar color to the walls will make it harder to see where the walls end and the ceiling begins thus, again, it looks higher. The exception is where there's an interesting line between the walls and ceiling - such as with a vaulted ceiling, a-frame, curved wall, etc. In that case you want to use a ceiling color that is dramatically different from the walls (i.e. possibly white) to emphasize the unique architecture.

I voted 'yes' because this apt. was featured in Domino and the whole place is really great. Great how he sectioned off a bedroom area with two beds and full of inexpensive ideas like this.

Don't get cushions. Suspect the Strathwood will be better without cushions.

I just shopped for a bistro set myself and it was agonizing. Went with Ikea chairs, they have great colors and durable styles and are super cheap to replace every couple years. In fact, so cheap you can get extra chairs in case guests come. Went with the CB2 table. However, I wish I would have shopped Design Within Reach.
