Thanks for featuring ours. Just a side note - My name is Lindsay (my husband is Aubrey). Not that it matters, other than you're giving him credit for the 1 project in the house he had nothing to do with. Thanks for including Oscar's nursery. We loooove Sharon's prints. Doubtfulguest, although I agree that $2000 is not a realistic price to pay for something in a nursery I don't see it as over priced for a piece of artwork in my opinion. (That being said, it is well above our budget.) But I will argue that the smaller prints are quite affordable, even if they are an open edition. They make me smile, and I simply adore looking at them every day. They are absolutely original and I haven't seen anyone else capture animals in the way that Sharon does. I think this is a very clear showcase of the fact that ALL ikea never works... Ikea has a price point that makes it afforable for first time home buyers (as an example)... but the problem I have with Ikea (or Ikea buyers) is that they furnish their WHOLE home with Ikea. We've seen amazing design where readers of this blog have incorporated Ikea elements into a house, but the key to what they have done is chosen select pieces, not the whole 2008/2009 catalog. The guy with the moustache is the best. He should be in every photo. Ps., what I'm surprised that they didn't do was show more creative ways to incorporate design - Ikea Hacker is a great spot to look. Jeepers. I grew up drinking tap water and will continue to do so. Ok, maybe I'm just cranky today but I don't really see any interesting design in this. I see more of a place that could essentially have been furnished all in one store.
