I second the one good knife idea. Get a knife that fits your hand, that you love and learn to sharpen it. I travel with mine to the family get-togethers because I got spoiled.

Attended a wedding that served Rusty Nails. Even as a bourbon girl, I thoroughly enjoyed (plenty) of them.

Is that from a particular office tour?

Favorite! Can I get the sources for your towels and the spice jars? Love those. Thanks!

@EWG109 Mine have always been stored open to the air. I suppose the smell is trapped and amplified by the lack of circulating air. My open air corks lose any smell they may have in a week, tops.

I have virtually the exact same kitchen. I removed the doors (and saved all the hardware/doors etc - stored them in a closet). Lined the back of the cabinets with my accent color contact paper of choice and put my white dishware back in. I also got a small square rolling cart to help with working space. Oh and I'm voting for declutter with universal containers (mine are from WallyWorld), do something fun and vertical with that big wall and battery powered stick on lights are your friend. Good luck!

Those of us with short hair are dependent on scarves for warmth! And frankly my dear, you can pry my excessive scarf collection from my cold, dead, well-decorated neck! ;-)

Check the DIY blogs like Ana White and such. I used her diagrams to build all my ledges. I believe she has one for the 3-sided box slid on to a frame type deal you would want. Good luck!

Another vote for Evernote. I use the bookmarklet as well as emailing with the tag & notebook functions. Recent Example:
Chipotle Slow-Cooker Tacos @Recipes #chicken #crockpot (It goes straight to the Recipes Notebook with chicken & crockpot tags - brilliant!)
I use it for school, work, recipes, everything!

I agree on the sponsored feel. But, I've always been a proponent of going to the dollar store and getting a roll of the rubbery mat stuff. Cut out a few squares for all my drawers. Cost me $ and I have no worries about anything getting stuck AND I can reuse it to my heart's content. Beat that, Scotch Tape!

I'm a big proponent of Ana White's tutorials. Otherwise spend 10 bucks buying 1x5's. Paint, Prime & Anchor and call it a (cheap) day! :)

I got the bunk bed room for a long weekend adventure for my first time in NYC. Midtown Mahattan for under $100 a night. YOU CANNOT BEAT THAT. Even the shared shower/restroom deal wasn't bad. Very clean. The indicator light thing above the door is brilliant and super handy, if at first, strange. :-)
Between that and splitting a bottle of wine on the rooftop at sunset, I don't think I'll stay anywhere else in NYC (until I change tax brackets).

Oh and PS: The Rainmeter folk have been removing a lot of the Deviant Art themes that come packaged with malware, etc. So use your discretion when downloading those.
