Think of the climate in Cuba. Subtropical, warm (over 70) all year, sunny, humid. Now why do you suppose Cuban basil (we call it Cuban thyme) doesn't grow in your air conditioned, heated, dry, shaded house? It's like asking you to thrive in an ant hill. Not a good environment for you, huh?
