I love how people tout "Science" as some sort of holy infallible pope...Hard core, closed minded scientist are just as dangerous as crazy religious types. Let's face it, no one on this planet REALLY know everything, neither the strict spiritualist or the atheist, discovery happens on a daily basis. I was just wondering about this...there is a condo across the street for sale where a suicide happened over a year ago. I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole personally, I would be second guessing every sound and mishap forever after if living there. The unit next door to it is also for sale, and it's got lots of real estate traffic in and out, and I haven't seen anyone look at the unit where the death occurred, apparently a lot of people don't like the idea of living where darkness and tragedy happened. I'm currently in the process of painting a used crib...so we'll see how it turns out. I've sanded it as best as I could (what a nightmare...I don't recommend it) and I'm using American Pride 0 VOC paint to paint it...its been primed now...and this weekend I'll be doing two coats of paint--my kid's a big time biter...so I'll probably see paint chips in his teeth every time he wakes up...oh well, I chose a cheap used crib, so that I could have the $155 mattress that I wanted--we'll see how things all work out in the end..... I work with leather restoration professionally, and the longevity of this bib would depend entirely on whether or not it was coated in polyurethane and how the leather was cared for (either as a protected leather, or as a full aniline leather)...it's an interesting option.
