Now, the big question is... Does Marlon still keep shirts in the fridge and bed linens in the kitchen cabinets?

I have one of the Bosch Axxis condensation driers and it works very well. You can't quite put them ANYwhere, since you need the plumbing for the washer and an electrical outlet for them. But, that's much easier to add than a vent to the outside in most apartments.

While it doesn't need a vent, the dryer does shoot hot air out the front of it, so it's nice to have it in a room you can shut off, such as the bathroom, so your apartment doesn't overheat in the summertime.

I have this hamper, and I love it! It's very sturdy and could even be used as a place to sit for a lightweight person. It's great for a studio to have out in the open, since it's attractive and doesn't really read as a laundry hamper.

The only minor quibble I have with it is that the lid doesn't stay open. Maybe that changes with repeat usage, but it's only a very minor annoyance.

Vessel also has a 2nd store in the South End at 652 Tremont St., where Motley Home used to be. It's a slightly smaller store, but has most of the same products as the Kingston St store.

It looks like Wes lives in my neighborhood in Boston... The bay window with views of brick rowhouses just screams South End.

I think the layout is great, and the bike mounted on the wall is a great piece of functional art/storage.

From just that one picture, it's hard to say if you need a rug or not. Is the living room part of a larger open space? If so, a rug may help define the living space a separate from dining space, etc.

In looking for a rug, I'd suggest (1) determining what size you need (2) look for a color or neutral that goes with the room's overall color pallate and (3) don't be afraid to buy several rugs and try them out in the space, and take back whichever ones don't work (if you're really lost) - just be sure you can return them!

I have a grouping of 12 of the Regolit shades above my bed (6 of the 11" and 6 of the 17" interspersed). I didn't buy any of the light bulb cords. Instead, I used 2 strings of white Christmas tree lights to illuminate them from above - it gives a nice soft light. Plus, it helps that I have 9.5' ceilings, so hanging them close to the ceiling gives lots of clearance above the bed. Using the strings of lights leaves only one cord to camoflage.

Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures of it uploaded anywhere to link to...

I have that very same bench from IKEA... while the original picture makes it look like a beautiful piece of wood, it's really just a thin veneer. Nice paint job on it, though

June Mountain is a great place! I haven't been there in about 3 years, but snowboarding/skiing there is a great change of pace when Mammoth is a little crowded. Plus, when it's too windy at Mammoth and the top of the mountain is closed off, June is a great alternative for those looking for steeper terrain - especailly after a big storm!

June has definitely been open for skiing the past few seasons. It tends to open later and close earlier than Mammoth, so it can be under the radar.

Ah, Dow Villa... I remember it fondly.

I'd love the white one, and it would be playing Nat King Cole's "The Christmas Song"

I love Vessel's products. I'm really excited to take a look at the demi-glow candelas in particular. My guess is that, by partering with OXO, they transfer the quality control and customer service responsibilities (which both can be hard to monitor when demand gets above a certain level for a small business).

The Vessel store in Boston is getting more and more foot traffic nowadays, since they are right next to the recently-completed Chinatown park. It's the first of the park spaces created by the surface area created by the "Big Dig" to open.

Yes, my Guardian still sheds light. I make a habit of keeping it of the charger for the rest of the night every time I use it. I've had it for over a year now and have had no problems.

I own a Guardian, and I love it... for being in my bathroom as a night light and so that I don't blind myself if I have to find something in the bathroom when waking in the middle of the night. I don't think the thing is bright enough for a successful outdoor light.

I go into Vessel's store in Boston on a regular basis. They haven't had the Guardian for over 9 months now, and I think it has to do with them coming out with an updated model.
