eww, that chair is hideous next to the bed. it just looks messy & chaotic. there are definitely better choices out there for bedside book storage.

well said mawilson & operaglass, i agree w/you. plus the girls there were swell. i worked with them on a weekly basis. we all had a greta relationship. :-(

i bought these same pulls from anthro a couple years ago! i put them on an antique dresser i have with claw feet, that i had painted black (black is back) and it looks awesome!!! i also bought the coordinating knobs for two other matching cabs that i own. i lusted for this hardware for months, before i caved and paid full price online from anthro, as all the area stores had sold out of them, as i was waiting for them to go on sale. well worth the investment!

OMG! i so needed to see this post! this is a great idea for solving my bat dilema. i have many, many cracks and gaps in my attic apartment, due to a shotty contractor. this aloud a bat to frquently visit me, day and night, in my bedroom. i saw that thing squeeze in through a small gap! apparently they can get in down to 3/8" hole.

so i got some heavy gauge steel wool, which apparently is the only thing they can't gnaw, unlike a rat, and plugged the larger holes. then i actually used a flexiable sealant from a tube over some of it, and even molding over other areas. but i still have areas around outlets and wiring that are open, and some gaps in the closet with the paneling. this stuff will surely do the trick!

yes sunspot42, everyone who bashes ikea (not meaning you) or any other retailor where you need to build it yourself, forgets that whatever they are building, is only as stabble as the the effort that was put into building it.

i know in ikea directions, your recommended to tighten periodically. makes sense, since the items aren't being assembled in a factory, your assembling them yourself. I know plenty of people with ikea products, and never, not a one, has ever had anything fall apart.

the styrofoam is just plain stupid, and the wire used as a pot rack in the kitchen.......it's one of the most hideous things i've ever seen anyone come up with! i don't even want think about all the grease and dust it will collect too!
