I'm renting a place with open shelves, and my multicolored Fiesta Ware dishes look amazing on them. I live in earthquake country, and I'm not terribly worried about the dishes. Fiesta is sturdy, and a closed cabinet won't contain them in a real shaker anyway.

I'm thinking you should hire twin girls in blue dresses to stand at the end of the hallway at all times.

I would have kept the "before" window treatment and mirror. I can kind of see how it looks like dripping blood, but I think out of that "before bathroom" context, it would look regal.

Sorry, wallpaper lovers, the wallpaper had to go (though it would have been great to see pictures matted with a bit of the paper), and painting the cabinetry was a good choice.

But I would have added gold/brass accessories and hardware to go along with the gilded mirror; I think it would make two little girls feel like they have their own little princess bathroom.

I have a yellow Moonbeam alarm clock. The flashing light usually does the trick, but if I don't turn it off in time it goes to the bell alarm. And that scares the crap out of me.

I'm so glad you featured Lynne. I've bought several pieces from her, including a drop-dead gorgeous credenza, a dining table, and two chairs. She has impeccable taste, is extraordinarily knowledgeable and friendly, and goes the extra mile to make sure the furniture is gleaming when you get it (she delivers!).

As the post said, her prices are very reasonable. I know if I tried to buy the same pieces from one of the stores on Valencia I would have paid three times as much.

(Hmm... maybe I shouldn't be so glad you featured Lynne. Now my secret is out!)
