We actually bought an amazing chaise for me and placed it in the nursery. It's amazing for naps, reading, did I mention naps? LOL. It sits next to two huge windows where I can look out over one of the best views in the house. And I agree, we all need a 'space' to go to for retreat. It makes a world of difference. positively amazing. granted, I want the skill of the artist who drew on that chalkboard...but it certainly makes you rethink the "cool factor" of a child's room, doesn't it? String lights...gotta have 'em! I was laughing at the image of the knocked over margarita glass. I'm assuming if one parties at home on CdM they might as well go for it...pinata, string lights, the works. And yes...go ahead and eat the worm in the bottle. LOL. Can't say I ever do anything to celebrate the fifth myself, but it seems like as good an opportunity as any to have friends over for a great meal. And like ChrisGal, my good girlfriend has her birthday on CdM as well. I'm so afraid of that day. I always joke saying my daughter has impeccable taste. And will have impeccable taste...until she forms an opinion of her own. LOL. Fortunately paint is easy to cover.
