We live with two small children in a small space in nyc, and we buy things like paper goods, kid snacks (applesauce, goldfish, Cheerios, etc), pasta, and laundry detergent in moderate bulk at lower prices (we're not Costco members, but we do stock up when we visit family in the suburbs) -- we bought a large Ikea cabinet when we first moved into our place since it has very limited storage, and stash most of the extra stuff in there. Great post ... it's an interesting history. I loved playing with these as a kid, and I was so excited to get some for my son -- was I ever disappointed when I walked into ToysRUs and found the redesigned version. My kids still love playing with my old ones whenever we visit their grandparents' house. I'm so glad my mom saved them! A Little History of the Fisher-Price Little People |
