Hi all,

After reading this post, I tracked down and purchased 6 of these beauties. Unfortunately, after getting them home - I realized that they just did not fit in my home :( Since I special ordered them, I was unable t return them, and am now selling these for $500 each. They are brand new and still in their wrapping and original boxes. If you are interested, please contact me at anaskay@gmail.com, or (646) 413-0800.

The whole apartment is a big mishmash of items... The coffee table I brought back from India, the lamp behind the armchair is a hand-me-down and the ones in the bedroom, I made :)

Naomi here.

Thanks for all the compliments!!! Really brightened up my lazy Friday morning :)

For all those wondering: The TV cabinet is from BoConcept, the armoire in the last picture is an ebay find and the extendable lamp I found in a second hand shop in Copenhagen last year.

I'm trying something new and making goat chops tonight. I was going to make them with mushrooms, mint and parsley and bit of lemon. Would pairing it with new potatoes and green beans make the dinner too bland? What about any suggestions for salad? Easy dessert?

I'm open to new suggestions for the goat chops too... seeing as how I've never cooked with them :)

Don't do black with that rug... Maybe try to liven up your khaki sofa with red pillows?

jplee... what about using an old globe? Don't know how you'd thread it though... but if you can come up with a cool solution, it could be really pretty

Container of milk in the trunk of a car - rotten milk smell for months.
Carton of eggs, also in the trunk of a car - rotten egg smell for EVER!

Hey Sassydo... I have almost exactly the same Buddha statue that is unfortunately not going to follow us into our new home (husband's not into Buddhas). Anywho, where are you located? I could send it to you if you want...

Email is anaskay@gmail.com if you're interested.

I like the shutters... I'm not crazy about the concrete. But maybe you could just change that out with pretty pea gravel. And just update the lanscaping. The paint colors are nice as is.

Maybe place a bookcase in front of it and stuff the back with foam like you said? That way you could disguise the fact that you're blocking a door - that always looks strange to me.

I guess you could keep adding horizontal or vertical pipes to create more of a headboard and footboard.

What width pipe did you use? Was the project hard to build? What tools did you need? How expensive was it? What do you use for feet?

I would move the bed to under the window and make that your accent wall.

I think that you should have two couches (or a couch and two chairs arranged perpendicular to the window directly across the front door for coversation with a coffee table in between them.

On the long wall next to the front door, I would put a long bookcase, and place the TV in it about 3/4 of the way to the kitchen/dining entrance. That would let you see the TV from both sofas, but it would definately not be the focus of your living room.

In the space behind the floating sofa, you could put a console table, or if needed, an office table under the window.
