I get the impression this guy is giving you this info to make places easier to get into.

As everyone else has said, I don't want my dog to bark. I want my dog to tear the burglar's head off.

I have an American Staffordshire Terrier (like a large pit bull). I took a polaroid of him and put it in the window of the front door. In 14 years, my place never got broken into though all my neighbors' places did--even though mine was the easiest to break into as it was on the ground floor and had its own entrance (the others had shared entrances and flights of steps).

Any dog that can be punted across a room is useless, regardless of how much it barks.

Are you going to tell us where the mirror place is or do we have to guess?

I use the system at arts-supplies.net. Works terrifically!

I have used live traps numerous times without issue. I take the mice out to a field and I let it go. It ain't that complicated.

This TV would improve my life because I don't actually have a television. I don't have a television because all of the TVs I can afford (and most non-wall-mountable-tvs, I think) are ugly and I swore after my last move (and reading the AT book!) that I'd rid my apartment of ugly, poorly designed things.

So I'm doing without television for the sake of beauty. The 37" Insignia is gorgeous and would look great on my wall. Since I won't be able to afford one for a *very* long time, this TV giveaway could greatly improve my life and living space.

Hi, I just sold two of these chairs on Toronto Craigslist not 3 weeks ago. Every single person that sat in mine found them uncomfortable. I've seen them go on eBay, often.

Mine went for $225 a piece and the buyer said they were going to ditch the vinyl and recover.

Personally, I'd avoid them if I were you.

Very nice. May I ask where you got the speckled lamp that's in the above photo. You've put the Falklands lamp to beautiful use. Also, what about those vertical bookshelves? Thanks!

I have them and use them. They're terrific. They're also awesome in a kids room because if there's a power failure (causing their nightlight to go out) the candelas automatically turn on.

I bought a set for a friend for a housewarming gift. I couldn't afford much more and thought they were neat. All their wealthier friends got them things I would have gotten them if I could afford them but 6 months later they told me the candelas were the best gift they got (they've got a kid and are the ones who told me about the power outage thing).

I like their large lamp they just put out this year but can't afford it.

The two most used and can't live without items in my kitchen are my Champion Juicer and my VitaMix Blender. Third is my KitchenAid 12-cup Food Processor.

I'll also second the Microplane mentioned above.
