I would like to add to the warnings. I did this in high school and now have nothing but problems because I stripped the enamel off my teeth. I cant drink hot drinks because of the sensitivity Im fighting, and Im looking at thousands of dollars in dental bills. I loved that 'just polished' feeling and now Im paying for it.

If saving money is important, combine a coupon with a sale and get your toothpaste for next to nothing.

I make lasagna and baked ziti for the freezer all the time. If Im freezing it I purposely undercook it just a little. I like to make big batches and take them for my lunch.

I freeze them right in the little pyrex dishes so I can throw them in my lunch bag in the morning. Ive never had a problem. Well...I have had the problem of running out of the pyrex bowls. Those things are so handy!

Thank you! Ive been wanting to try figs, but not sure how to tell if they were ripe.

Personally, I think the bowl idea is silly. Whats wrong with a good old fashioned dispenser? I keep my kosher salt in one of those things restaurants use to pour sugar. I may not look cool and trendy but I dont have to worry about knocking it over, or something falling in it.

I first saw it watching Martha Stewart.

You can definately get vegetable rennet. Some commercial cheeses are even made with it.

My question is do you have to have a microwave to make this? I would love to try it.

A couple of friends and I made a no spending for a week bet. We could not spend a single dollar for an entire week.

It was an interesting week.

Ive also gotten a lot better about breaking myself out of the habit of buying stuff I dont need. I just need to get rid of more of the stuff Ive already got.

Martha Stewart and her daughter have the strangest mother/daughter dynamic Ive ever seen.

Im guessing you guys who are so horrified by the cat dont go out to eat much. I'd be willing to bet the take out down the street (pick a street, any street) has much scarier stuff on its counters.

I had no idea binder clips were so mainstream... I use them for everything too.

In my head, there is a difference between bulldog clips and binder clips. Binder clips have those wire handles you can fold back down onto the item you are clipping.

I love pasta salad. I make it with whatever I happen to have on hand and I always add fresh herbs. I think the fresh herbs really make the difference.

Ive never tried Sherry in my salad dressing. I make my own dressings now and its amazing how much fresher the salad tastes.

Glass or metal bowls are definitely the way to go. Plastic is good for giving to the kids to play in the bathtub with.

Its strange to me how you guys will do a post about getting plastics out of the kitchen and then do a post about plastic mixing bowls.

I just got rid of mine. I got it as a gift two years ago, used it twice and hated it. It sat in my closet because I was too guilty to get rid of a gift.
