I love how the b&w acts as a neutral; whatever color they put in wouldn’t make a difference. I would be in heaven waking up in this house

well, if you own the place i would say a kitchen reno to creat an open concept that would extend into the space. from the picture the kitchen looks small but photos can be deceiving. if you don't own, go big and bold: art, lighting, perhaps paint color or wall paper and a credenza or wall unit w/glass doors.

good luck.

I LOVE LISTS! I make them all the time. The best part about my list is when I've accomplished everything and then I can have icecream.

Not that you asked but i would nix the idea of using tiles as a counter top. It will date your kitchen in a couple of years. perhaps you can use the tiles as a back splash.

it's a beautiful kitchen with lots of space for food prep. i don't know if 20K is a lot of money for a kitchen redo, but i do see the amount of work that had to be done: removing a wall, relocating gas line, recess lighting and finishings. i do agree, however, that the transition from wood to the tiled floors could have been seamless. that's for the resource info.

you're not the only one who thinks it's silly. perhaps they wanted to save money or do an eco-friendly move. since they did it, well, more power to them.

I think sometimes it’s hard to gage the size of a space when there’s no one in the image to give it perspective. But I do believe that it’s a small kitchen beautifully renovated.

barb, excellent suggestion as to where to put the bed. the materials/furnishings to use to create a hallway from the entry door are endless. the square footage will accommodate you're suggestion (mock-up brilliant). if the bed goes in the dinning area the space would be cramped.

It’s a great space and feels a lot bigger. Interesting layout for the bathroom vs. the kitchen. I would have preferred the opposite. Albeit the bathroom is nice. Love the tub! Morina made a point about the placement of the bed but I think it’s the desk that’s not in the right position; perhaps behind the sofa between the two windows? Other than that, well use of space and placement. Since your short on storage space and you have great ceiling height why not build up?
