I agree with Mindy PDX. What a travesty not to sand and use whatever is used to restore to near original condition. I have a shell chair that could use restoring but I would never paint it gold & red; however, paint restoration works on some things but not this chair.

Really really dislike like your last painting of "colored" waiter. Was expecting collection of little sambos in next pic. Grateful collection was finished.

One of the funniest comments I see posted here is BigTab's on 11/8 at 2:18 pm who calls for "a full house tour!" and comments posted are a part of what I enjoy about AT. Whether the comments were positive or negative, serious or playful, I could still be impressed by Kristen Ellis' commitment to her design and decor vision and that she apparently speaks it, wears it and lives it like something a step beyond performance art. But when I saw the big black dog on the white bed, then it all seemed so contrived for the weird AT shoot that it is.

Sorry, I just realized that you got the chair from Chiasso when I mentioned at first that Chiasso has silver stuff! I think everybody here has posted great ideas which are really worth your consideration. Still I understand how the silver feeling can come over you. I almost bought the silver couch at Chiasso but I had to be more practical so I didn't get it. I was able to cure my silver craving by . . . using something else that I found for free. They are brushed silver, cylindrical and graphic. I can use them for various purposes and I had to have 2 of them just like you. So I understand your problem. Maybe you will find the perfect silver thing when you least expect it--that's how it happened for me. Blessings!
