Any tips for freezing this recipe? I'd love to freeze half for a second meal, or give the whole dish to a new mom. Should I freeze the dish once it's assembled or after the whole thing is cooked so it just needs to be reheated?

They published this technique a few years ago, serving the steaks over a cauliflower puree. Sounds like what @yumesoba described. Stunning dish, I've never forgotten it.

I wonder if a red sauce made of reduced balsamic vinegar and strawberries would work... a little basil and some good ricotta on top would be a nice touch and a fun visual play on your typical spaghetti.

My parents just moved and downsized this past year and recently drove down a truck-load of stuff to help furnish our new home. There were a few useful pieces, like a nice love sofa and kitchen table, a lot of transitional pieces to use until I can find something better, and a ton of things they had been storing since I was a child (such as my epic collection of troll dolls. Um, thanks.). It was sad to sell their old house, especially since my husband and I got married in the backyard, and strange to think that my own kids won't have any personal memories of it.

For anyone who is on the fence about going cloth, I strongly recommend finding a local baby store that carries a few different brands of cloth diapers. I found it very helpful to actually see and handle the different options before deciding which system to use. Our favorite local store even holds a monthly class to introduce customers to cloth diapering.

Like others, we started with Kissaluvs and Thirsties for the newborn stage but have since been using mostly BumGenius AIOs. We keep the dirty diaper bag in a metal trash bin with a lid that we picked up at IKEA, which has worked fine (although now that the baby wants to pull up on it, I'm not so sure. I can't see how that would be any different with another diaper bin, though). Thirsties makes a pre-wash liquid that we've been using with a cold rinse to help get out any stains and bacteria before washing the diapers on hot with Charlie's Soap.

I try not to make a big fuss about our cloth diapers, especially since all of our friends use disposables, but they have worked very well for us. I'm looking forward to reusing the diapers on our next child.

You know, I was *just* thinking about getting a giant white bear holding a beach ball for our living room. What a coincidence. (snarkiness aside, it looks like an awesome hotel!)

What does marrow taste/feel like? Does it vary much between animals? I've been mostly vegetarian for 15 years and am completely unfamiliar with eating marrow.

My husband received the diaper bag pictured as a gift from his sisters, and at first I was insanely jealous, my bag being plain and boring tote-style. But after I borrowed his, I realized some serious flaws with his sexy satchel: the thing is HEAVY, especially once loaded with baby gear. Also, the messenger flap tucked into the strap makes it very difficult to quickly reach in and grab items like pacis or your wallet. He still uses it every day for work though and really likes it. To each his own!

Alternatively, place them on a baking tray in a warm oven for 10 minutes. Air-dried cookie cutters, presto.

I love cow's milk for most things, but I've become absolutely addicted to chocolate almond milk. Chocolate-almond-peanut butter-banana smoothies are divine, or I'll steam the milk with a little espresso for an afternoon mocha. Totally satisfies any chocolate cravings and tastes much lighter than chocolate cow's milk.

I keep a french press close by for special occasions, but our morning coffee is brewed using an electric drip. AMs can be so rushed - if it's between drip coffee or having to stop and pay for a cup on the way to work (or worse, going without... shudder!), then I'm definitely doing the easy brew.

My husband and I have traditionally gone all out for Thanksgiving - one of our very first "dates" was spent cooking a Thanksgiving meal for all of our college friends. However, this year we have something new to be thankful for: our 3-month old baby girl. The only thing we had to make was reservations at a lovely restaurant!

This is one of my favorites. Modern, clean and fresh - yet still distinctly appropriate for a newborn. You've clearly designed a space for both of you to enjoy. Lovely!

Personally, I would be much more delighted with a well-made standard bundt cake, perhaps surrounded by a few small decorative pumpkins. I feel like W-S has worn out the specialty-shaped cake pan trend.

I was so inspired by yesterday's post on tuna noodle casserole that I immediately cooked a double batch - one for dinner last night and lunches today and this weekend, the second to freeze for after our baby arrives in a couple weeks. Not the healthiest meal, but it definitely hit the spot.

Last week my husband and I moved to a new city where we didn't know anybody. Seeing as I am 8 months pregnant and will be at home for the next few months, I wanted to prioritize living in a community with lots of immediate neighbors over a possibly roomier but secluded home. We found a brand new complex where everybody is moving in together, so there's always a chance to strike up conversation when you pass someone in the halls or at the pool. The complex also hosts lots of social events for the residents, including one this weekend. I'm hoping we find a few others with similar interests - wish us luck!
