Perfection - love love love it all! Anyone know the source of the orange pendants in the kitchen? I've been looking for an orange pendant that is not the Kartell Fly but kinda similar.

I found some way cool file folders that had great colors and design...after seeing this posted on YHL (which I follow daily) I knew it would be a great idea for all those frames I have in the closet! I adore Sherry and John! They don't claim to be experts but are willing to take the risks that many of us only think about!

If you are not able to take all of your belongings with you, I would first suggest to pick out your favorite, must-have items and make sure those are in your temporary place. Also, even though you are there for 3 months, I would hang pictures/artwork on your wall the first weekend you are there.

I used the nice metal 3m hooks in my last condo to hang long necklaces. They did peel up the paint and some top layer drywall stuff. I had to patch and paint.

I even left some hooks in the closet that I put up to hang hats on and the landlord took them off himself and in my final walk thru of the condo he deducted b/c it ripped the paint/drywall stuff off.

we only have one good large skillet so if we use it one night we just leave it on the stove since it's not dishwasher safe, then wash it before we use it again. But sometimes, like when the plumber was coming over, I just threw it in the oven. And sometimes, I forget to tell my husband I do that and he's the one that cooks...that's just recently but in years past I have filled the stove with dirty dishes before in a rush attempt to clean. Then when the person left, I would take them all out and wash.

I'm a messy person and keeping things clean is always a struggle. I'm the "invite someone over so my house will get cleaned" person then I spend 2 hours cleaning and am exhausted when our friends are here.

We just recently moved to a smaller place and the kitchen is out in the open so we both are trying to keep it tidy.

I think inviting friends over only helps tackle those projects that you never seem to get to, so over a period of time when you've invited several groups of friends over...you have accomplished several of the decorating and home improvement projects too. Plus, my friends know I'm constantly changing things and redecorating so they typically say "oh I don't remember this!" and it starts a conversation of how puttinbuttin is obsessed with Apartment Therapy and is constantly changing things.

If I had to have a reason that I don't invite friends as often as I would like it's b/c the house is messy. I need to figure out a routine to keep it clean without hiring cleaners. :o)
