Its also worth noting that we'll have a very small office(too small to fit a sofa) so no desks need to be used, I don't want the room to center on the fireplace so much that we can't comfortably watch the tv, as romantic as they are the fireplace will get used much less than the tv by a sports fan husband.

Growing up in CA this was always very off limits at our house in case of an earthquake, but it is the only wall to put our bed on in our Chicago home and I have to say as beautiful as it is, it still makes me feel queasy about a broken window.

Jane Iredale makes really fantastic mineral makeup, its pricey but I dont think I've used anything that gives a naturally glowing look as well. It also works well on my very sensitive skin.

Julia, For our cat we've planted a low round vase (made for floating candles) with a cat grass seed packet from Whole Foods. We keep it on top of a bookcase for decor and bring it down 15 minutes a day so she doesn't binge on it.

I live in a building where the landlord is crazy about noise, we had to sign an agreement saying we would whisper in the halls and they interviewed my daughter to make sure she wasn't loud! Generally due to this our building is so quiet it feels like a graveyard but my neighbor turned out to be a kids/clown/dance guy and during the day he goes out on the patio and strums out new songs, its very cool to hear them progress while we have coffee on weekends.

I love the gray, the combination with the yellow is really bright and fresh.
