My husband and I love kimchi, but most kimchi isn't vegetarian due to the fish sauce and/or dried shrimp added (this is listed in the vegetarian category when you search recipes). Make sure to check before serving to vegetarians or those with fish allergies. Everyone but me in my immediate family is allergic to shellfish and won't eat anything with fish sauce and risk an E.R. visit - it is much better to be safe than sorry!

Remember to have a little compassion, people. I happened to move, get married and change jobs all within a month. During the weeks of chaos, stress and anxiety I had a friend who desperately needed to crash on my couch because of hard times. I later found out that she was frequently complaining to our mutual friends about the fact that our floors were not getting cleaned thoroughly enough during that period of time. She stayed with us for two months and never thought that we were so stressed that we did not have time to vacuum or even had the decency to pitch in. Meanwhile while she drank through our wine entire collection and watched movies on our couch. She and I are no longer friends.

Doryn, your style makes me rethink my life choices and gives me a very unhealthy urge drink a couple glasses of wine, post every funky antique and IKEA piece in my house for sale on craigslist and use that money to start from scratch to mimic everything you have done.

Lots of candles or a cluster of indoor plants would be a quick cheap way to embrace it if the landlord isn't going to take it out. The TV center and reading nook with cushions ideas are pretty good too! I love AT for these crafty ideas I would not have thought of myself but make perfect sense.

emily7: The creaminess of this dish is a bit specific to bananas. Bananas are one of the few fruits that contain a bit of fat (about 1 gram of fat per cup or so) which can make the blended finished product very smooth and creamy.

Most other fruits that you work with will make a lovely sorbet, but will not have the creamy, soft-serve texture of the whipped frozen bananas.

I hope this helps. I found out the hard way about the bit of fat by adding a chopped banana to my famous sangria. The acidity of the wine and other fruits made the banana slices turn into a mushy gelatinous mess in my otherwise wonderful summer punch. Big mistake...

We have a fat orange and white cat so we understand your pain. I went through a few different rugs and have found that wool rugs that have tight fibers such as yours actually make the problem worse. It always looks as though there is a film of hair on top of an otherwise lovely rug.

Our current rug is perfect for our kitty. Try to find a rug that is similar in color to your cat or has enough depth to camouflage the hair so you don't have to vacuum so obsessively. We also love our shag rug because the occasional spilled glass of red wine is easily cleaned and forgotten. The only drawback is that this would not be a great rug if you cat has vomit issues...
