My husband and I love kimchi, but most kimchi isn't vegetarian due to the fish sauce and/or dried shrimp added (this is listed in the vegetarian category when you search recipes). Make sure to check before serving to vegetarians or those with fish allergies. Everyone but me in my immediate family is allergic to shellfish and won't eat anything with fish sauce and risk an E.R. visit - it is much better to be safe than sorry! It is really nice to see a discussion about a sensitive issue such as veal production handled in such a mature, respectful manner. Often people can get so mean when a topic they feel strongly about is brought up in this type of forum and it is really wonderful to see people acting like adults here. I make a great creamy carrot soup with coconut milk instead of cream. If you invest in a stick blender you can make really smooth fantastic soups out of pretty much any vegetable you please. We have made great soups from parsnips, acorn squash, and white beans all made with vegetable broth, olive oil and coconut milk for our vegetarian and vegan friends. With some crusty bread and a big salad on the side, it's much less expensive than purchasing fake meat or processed vegan foods. Remember to have a little compassion, people. I happened to move, get married and change jobs all within a month. During the weeks of chaos, stress and anxiety I had a friend who desperately needed to crash on my couch because of hard times. I later found out that she was frequently complaining to our mutual friends about the fact that our floors were not getting cleaned thoroughly enough during that period of time. She stayed with us for two months and never thought that we were so stressed that we did not have time to vacuum or even had the decency to pitch in. Meanwhile while she drank through our wine entire collection and watched movies on our couch. She and I are no longer friends. Ew, I Can't Stand That! Design Allergies |

Books on tape are often even better than music. I would go with a humorous author like David Sedaris (nobody wants to be listening to a Stephen King thriller while lost in the woods). 3 Simple Must-Haves for a Smoother Summer Road Trip Well-Designed Travel |

Udi's bagels are the best but when it comes to gluten-free sliced bread, Canyon Bakehouse is the best! They even have an amazing gluten-free raisin bread which made me tear up a little the first time I toasted up a couple of slices. Plus their hamburger buns rock too! Lots of candles or a cluster of indoor plants would be a quick cheap way to embrace it if the landlord isn't going to take it out. emily7: The creaminess of this dish is a bit specific to bananas. Bananas are one of the few fruits that contain a bit of fat (about 1 gram of fat per cup or so) which can make the blended finished product very smooth and creamy. We have a fat orange and white cat so we understand your pain. I went through a few different rugs and have found that wool rugs that have tight fibers such as yours actually make the problem worse. It always looks as though there is a film of hair on top of an otherwise lovely rug. Apartment Therapy DC | Good Questions: Choosing a Pet-Friendly Rug? |
