About the photo, I think everyone here missed the point. From a photography standpoint, and the subject matter -well, well, well...the subject was not fashion for women, hairstyles for women...the subject was the mattress..on the floor. What percentage of the photo shows the mattress is the issue here...right! When I'm on a fashion site, I expect to see fashion and all that encompasses in a photograph, but would I be very disappointed in seeing a photo depict 75% of a car, for example, and 25% of the dress being modelled? Oh ya. Same thing here, A more appropriate photo of the mattress on the floor showing the bedroom decor as a whole is what the editor should have chosen to post here, not what was posted. If I want to view someone's hairstyle or pj's, I'll go to a site that cater's to that. AP...you did screw up on this one. Keep to your subject matter, as all good sites than linger should.

One of the best designed apartments I've seen!! The way you combined the vintage with the modern is exceptional and very pleasing to the eye. Love the bathroom stencil, tastefully done I think! Big hoorahhh's to you both for a cozy well decorated place to call home and kudo's to your decorating skills. There wasn't one room I disliked :)

I as well don't understand why there were so many photos of the "accessories", and not of the home itself????? This is not a photography post, it is HOME TOUR....I see that often in AT's home tours, and it befuddles me why.

Aside from that, the layout is so very homey and comfortable, yet perfectly set up for the kids to play without having to navigate furniture everywhere. Great job! Love the lighting as well, it gives that modern touch nicely. I have done the same in my home, a bit of modern with a bit of the architectural style of the home, and I..and others.. very much enjoy the look.

999 sq ft??? You're kidding me. Video for the measurements for sure...aside from that, because it is in print for the measurements and I'm having to go with that...this is almost, might be the one...that is my favorite of all...beautiful decor, great layout for the space, design is excellent....and it doesn't have that barren feel of emptiness to it, just very inviting!

I love how well put together your place is. Not cluttered at all even though there's a good amount of furnishings....same color of wood furnishings makes it all tie in nicely as well.

Love this. The shelving in the bedroom works so well, for such a tiny space, you've pulled it all together in a way that does not seem cluttered although you've got lots in there, but still has a serene feeling to it.

The living room is wonderful! Just gels so well...kudo's to you for great decor and layout!!

I love the comfort of your apartment. Very well laid out and all the colors, furnishings..all just well placed. And to top it all off, you even put the cozy touch in the closet area..how cool is that?...very creative. Love it all!

Wow. To take that blank slate layout, which is literally akin to a bowling alley, and transform it as you did is absolutely fantastic. In my view, almost perfect. Easy on the eyes, comfortable and most of all very functional.

Like others here, I would have preferred the contest photos to have included the bathroom and kitchen as well in order to judge properly.

On the whole, I'd add a few more cozy touches to remove that "office" feel, maybe a few area rugs and bit more large artwork, but I still love the layout and design!!

One of the coziest...want-to-go-to-bed-right-now bedrooms I've seen. Such a great idea with the white curtains, which one would think would box the room in, but it doesn't at all. In fact, adds depth to the room. Very well done. I absolutely love it!

I am confused. For a contest to be unbiased, wouldn't you think the gallery is all that should be exposed? Why would the "top ten" be highlighted. Same thing when you go to the contest page, all are listed categorically by most votes down to lowest votes, showing the categorization when that should not be displayed in any form at all....just the gallery, that's all that's needed. But...it seems AT wants that subliminal persuasion in the mix to sway the votes. Ridiculous contest.

As well, in my opinion, of course, even though there may be great decor and layout in the living room and bedroom, just wondering why the contest did not clarify by requesting a pic of EACH room - bathroom and kitchen as well, as it seems most of these main rooms have been left out, but submissions of 3 pics of a living room, or one of the pics is a closeup of a vase on a table, are part of the mix????

I'd would think that in the context of a "contest for the best small space", AT would want voting on all rooms in the small space, not just on 2 rooms of the contestants choosing. How can it be considered for voting if half of the rooms in the dwelling are left out of the mix? Was the kitchen pic left out because they're just using a microwave because they preferred their living room to be larger? To me, that wouldn't be ingenious use of a small space (tongue in cheek on that statement, but you know???

Ok...although my stomach gets queasy whenever I look at the photo of your bed (you are braver than brave), you have decorated with colours that are vibrant, yet not overpowering and your accessories all match wonderfully. Very comfy well laid out apartment!

Nice room for an ADULT...where's the child's room?? Sad really, no fun, no COLOUR, no kid's stuff...no imagination or creativeness for the child. I would not consider this to be a child's room at all.
