I like the Artemis, but we are maple people, so keep that in mind when you look at my answer.

Anyone have a Euro pro toaster oven?

We need a new one, and seem to be leading toward a Euro pro, good size, features and price.

However it seems the reviews on amazon and target websites are either 5 stars or 1 star. People are saying (for the same model) that they are cheap pieces of junk, or that they are the best toaster oven available.

Was wondering if there used to be problems, that have been fixed recently, which could explain it?

Thanks

If it were my house, I would put up a simple mantle/floating shelf, and paint that wall as an accent color, with a lighter or darker shade inside the alcove. Then (and this will depend if you have a dog) but for myself, I would get a dog bed that matches the room, and put it down there.

I love my dogs, and they are a part of the family, but I hate how their bed just out into the middle of the room, even when put in an out of the way corner. (For me) An alcove like this would be perfect so the dogs could have their own space in the family room, without taking up the middle of the floor.

I admit that I tend to forget to bring bags with me, or I will go when I am out doing other things, and thus don't have bags with me. However can you please explain why a BAG of potatos needs another bag of it's own? Or a gallon of Orange juice (with a much more comfortable handle) would need a bag by itself?

I prefer to bag my own groceries either way, because I like to group like things in bags (eg pantry items, dairy, frozen items). That way I can grab all of the frozen items on the first trip and throw them in my freezer all in one shot, before I let the excited dogs out. And putting them in order on the convery belt doesn't help either.

Yes I am anal retentive.

Not DIY, but I have heard Charlie's Soap is great

www.charliesoap.com

I plan to buy some as soon as I run out of my extra large method bottle.

I have a friend who swear's by the stuff. She has 3 kids, and does everything green/organic, from food to gardening to cleaning. So I trust her judgement.

But if your hell bent on making your own, there is this link I plan to try if I don't like charlie's.

What about planters with tallish plants in them to cover the bars? I bet you could build just simple skinny rectangular boxes on the cheap (don't know how much of a factor cost is).

May I also suggest the furminator? Here are the pics I took to email to a friend when they asked if it worked (I do not work for the company). That plus the tile floor and lots of water is what gets my long haired dachshunds through the summer.

The piture before this is the dog who I brushed. The picture after it is the brush that I used directly before the furminator.

One other thing to consider, and maybe this doesn't apply in NY (I'm in Fl) but when it rains bugs come up everywhere. We've never had a need to spray our home for bugs, and I have found maybe 2 roaches in the almost two years we have been here. That is until this week. It has been raining non stop, so I have seen 3 inside, and a TON more outside. If it's been raining alot you might want to wait for that to die down.

I think the legs, and grey (which I am generally not opposed to) fabric make it look like something in a waiting room.

I can't comment on the barracuda cover as I didn't even know she did one. Hmm. Now you have me curious.

We have a mauve toilet tile and tub/shower. The toliet is cheap to replace, but I doubt you want to do that because you are renting.

What we had to do was paint the bathroom a color that complemented the mauve, and kind of drew your eye away. We also painted all the trim in our house white, as it made every room look alot darker. Next up is pulling up the vinyl and putting down tile.

What about a quilt? If you have some other pieces of clothing or bedding that were your grand mother's, that you can't/won't use, you can make a lap sized patch work quilt. Then it won't be a focal point of a room, but you'll still have all those things that remind you of your grand mother.

also there might be enough to make a table runner and matching place mats. That is assuming that you have those colors in your dining area.

This is my house, and yes it has been a process. Since the handles will be silver, the hinges will definately be replaced. That is not the only bad lighting fixture in the house (every stinking one was appalling), and it isn't even flouresent lights. Under that mess are two fixtures similar to this http://tinyurl.com/379yq4 and that entire area is recessed. But the drywall is unfinished, so that is a project in and of itself.

I was wondering if anyone had any pictures, especailly arin, that I could see.
