My lunch is often my dinner leftover. I can't reheat in the metal. I'd love to be able to find something that I could reheat and use for all kinds of things, not just sandwiches. But I do like the idea of separate compartment down for the salad dressing.

I'd love to see more ideas for eco lunch boxes!

I'm not a fan of taking wood pieces and painting over them. But, when I saw what you did with this, I truly thought you did a stunning job. It was not like you slapped a bunch of turquoise paint on it. The old piece of furniture got transformed into something new and beautiful.

Great job!

The colors are gorgeous! Dolls generally freak me out, but they don't in your home. So beautiful! I love that you have a small space, and yet there's still so much room. I especially love the last photo with you in the chair!

Almost $3k for rent in SF? Are you kidding me? How are those numbers determined? Are they taking into account luxury penthouses? Is it an average of all listing or median price? I live in a nice, BUT SMALL one bedroom on the eastern side of the city and I pay $1500. Granted, I got a great deal, but even then, I would not look for a one bedroom more than $2K. I'd expect to be able to find a two bedroom for $2100. Or are they looking at equal spaces, in terms of square footage, of what's for sale and what it would cost to rent that?

It looks dramatic in the photo, and certainly is interesting from a design stand point, but I would not be able to live there. My eyes would get strained out.

I like adding a little yogurt and turning it into a creamy pesto dressing for romaine lettuce. Yum!

A good camera doesn't hurt either, i.e., one where you can control as many of the settings as possible.

I love the iPad! It's wonderful for the kitchen, and excellent for reading in bed. I have small hands, and the weight of hardcover books often strain my wrists, so the ipad is certainly a blessing for me!

For those, like me, who cannot stand mayo, plain (full fat) yogurt is a good alternative.

I use a table vice. It's great! Good for electronics and holding things while you solder, and for opening jars!

I use hot water water and BactOff. Cant' remember what it's called.

When if comes to my kitchen, I cannot cook unless it's clean. spills are wiped up right away. I try to do a thorough cleaning once a month. I have a small space, so everything must be kept in order and clean.

I'll be in the minority and say I don't like that shade of yellow at all. That said, the white is a bit... white. I would have opted for another shade. Of course, that's just personal preference.

Great way to change the kitchen on a budget and make it your own. Love the creativity of the backsplash. Great job!

I sleep in a tank and sweatpants most of the time. When it's really cold, I have several old cashmere sweaters that are no longer in good enough condition to wear outside, but can be worn to bed.

My husband likes to wrap himself up in a cashmere blanket like a burrito.

I love coriander! I rub into meat, use it in soup, crack it into potatoes.

I did the slat baked fish thing with salmon, and it was super delicious and moist. Perfect. A hit with my guests at my birthday party.

The funnest part was cracking the salt and peeling it back to get at the fish.

Kirsten, there is a difference between those "whole peeled tomatoes" and san marzano tomatoes. Mozzarella di burffalo is different from a block of mozzarella or even shredded mozzarella. It doesn't sound "douchy" at all.

You can say, get a piece of steak, or you can say, new york cut, filet mignon, rib-eye, etc.
