Wow, thanks for everyone's input (or should I call it judgement?) on my parenting! My son buys most of his stuffed animals himself with his $5 allowance, and he often gets them as gifts because everyone knows he loves them so.

But, at least he has good manners ;)

I bought these for my son last year from Moolka.com. They are super cute, but a tiny bit pricey for the amount of time they take to make. I do remember thinking that they could make cute artwork for a kids room, because they are nice and thick-- good quality.

ours don't really get too hot, we sit on them all the time. thanks for your concern though ;)

I used to work for RH part time before I had kids, and that place is the most mismanaged retail company that I could possibly imagine. Terribly inefficient and really bad customer service. The sad part is that even when workers in the stores are trying, their infrastructure makes it impossible for you to do your job well. Contrast that to Crate & Barrel where I worked full time right out of college, that place is run like a dream. All of the corporate people at that time were required to start at the store level and it showed. They knew what they were doing.

I've been assuming RH would go out of business for years. Too bad they moved away from their original focus. They were so unique and fun when they started. Now, so stodgy.

Oh, and on the topic, I am even less surprised about Brocade Home. Way too specialized. If you don't like that one look, well you're out of luck.

The Baby Bjorn Babysitter is the single most useful item I had for both of my kids. Comfy, super easy to clean, folds up so small. I love getting rid of baby gear, but it pains me to let this one go.

Grapefruit Seed Extract. If you buy a bottle of it at Whole Foods (it runs about $12, but lasts forever and can be used for a tone of things) and just dilute it in water (just a few drops of GSE) and it will kill most everything. Google it for tons of info.

I posted this once before, but ours (housepet) looks great. Its not soft, but that is clear from the description. It show nothing. We have a Dyson vacuum, but even between vacuums it looks great, and that is with 2 kids, 2 dogs, and a cat (and a husband!!). I think with flor, you just have to be really careful about what you choose for a given area. I would only choose those low pile velvet or felted finish styles in true barefoot only/ adult rooms.
