Don't forget if you want really plump amazing raisins in oatmeal cookies to soak them in water/grape juice for a bit before adding them, they partially rehydrate and really make a fantastic cookie. Apartment Therapy The Kitchn | In Praise of Raisins |

The first one is one of the highest rated "laundry hampers" on Amazon, and the individual bins/pouches are removable, they're held on by velcro on the sides. Apartment Therapy ohdeedoh | Storage for Summer Stuff |

@ ktothe04, the more solid chocolate than cake would be the flourless chocolate cakes. Try http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Flourless-Chocolate-Cake-I/Detail.aspx (usually those with a lot of reviews as well as a high star score are the best ones from allrecipies and this one was 4.5/5 stars and 152 reviews) Apartment Therapy The Kitchen | Why From-Scratch Cakes are Healthier than Box Mix Cakes |

Thinkgeek has some tech-neat stuff, but also the nongeek and random gifts tend to please my tech-guy husband more than a genre specific item. A couple holidays ago I got him one of those baseball sized 20 questions things and one of those cooltouch battery operated soldering irons with some other things thrown in, and he seriously loved those more than the true techie items. They're called Concrete Form Tubes, they come in all sorts of circumfrences from like 4inches or so to 10inches (we cut little holes in them and our bunnies love to lounge and scurry through them). They're also relatively cheap, I think the 8inch one (they're all about 4 feet long at home depot) is only like $6. You can get them to cut them for you too, and end up with all the parts to make your own this type of shelf for about $10. They're also sturdier than regular hardboard in case you're worried about them not holding up. Apartment Therapy - Rock'n'Roll Cardboard Shelving by ReturDesign#comments |

Not applicable in this situation but http://environment.newscientist.com/channel/earth/dn12141-giant-microwave-turns-plastic-back-to-oil.html is about a company who made this thing similar to a microwave that can turn plastic and rubber back into diesel oil and combustable gas. Eventually maybe there will be a recycling sent to these type deal. Apartment Therapy - Good Question: Recycling Plastic Bags? |

In the past I tried using both craigslist and roomates.com, and I'd reccomend anyone searching for a roomate avoid the latter. Most of the responses you receive are from someone requesting you send them your contact information and info about the room since you have to pay to see their description as the listor and as the person looking for a room. Nothing was more annoying than having already paid for the month of service or whatnot post and then have people who just applied randomly even if they didn't meet your qualifications that they could see (male applying for a female only, or someone who just wanted something for 2 months when it was in the year long lease area) and getting requests for you to call/email them because they didn't want to pay to see what was being offered fully. When we had problems with ants Baking Soda always kept them away, as did dryer sheets... dryer sheets may not be so green but were an easy thing to place in odd corners without having powder or sprays everywhere and didn't cause problems with pets. Apartment Therapy - Good Question: Ant Control? |

I don't listen to state-side internet radio often (not a huge music fan), yes I'd be sad if Pandora were to close but at least the BBC has a variety of stations (love bbc4 bbc7 and occasionally bbc2). Survey: Do You List to Internet Radio? |
