I guess I am an exception: I don't recall the last time I stayed over someone's house. I always use a hotel. I find the expression "Home Porn" more amusing than anything else. It somewhat refers to the voyeur in all of us. It's tongue in cheek, shocking ... fill the blanks... Not to be taken seriously. Sea, I do share your view. I love NYC but I am one of these people who have lived in different places and find any city/place has its con and its pro. The concept of a particular place as "le nombril du monde" is particularly off-putting to me. Luckily I have very few real, real New Yorkers friends... The rule in this contest should be changed. The winner should not be the the place most ATers identify with but the more accomplished one. In other words, each contestant should submit the objective they were after, how they went about and show the pictures to prove their point. I aspire to have a place like this well edited, where everything has a purpose, a place and look good. I really like the feel of this place. And I emphasize on the "feel" because these 3 photographies definetely do not paint the whole picture. I love the wall of black & white pictures in the dining room. I really like the wine rack in the kitchen but I did not get one because they are supposed to be bad for your wine. My only qualm is the position of the sofa in regard to the TV. It seems only 1 individual can comfortably watch TV. In the bathroom is the door frame the same color as the adjacent wall?
