I've totally fizzed up some white wine in my sodastream & it works! The trick is to not fill it too high (just past the nozzle, but NOT to the normal water line). Then to fizz it, do it in short bursts. When you remove the cannister, go SLOW like it said above. Do in short bursts to release the pressure just a hair at a time.

As a landlord, I'd LOVE to have granite in all my rentals...I see the damage that my renters do to formica, butcher block & tile & just imagining A), the appeal to most renters of granite & B), the lack of long term maintenance needed sounds amazing.

I've had to replace tile countertops when they chip/stain grout, sand out butcher blocks, & have to live with burn marks on formica. Concrete stains too easy & the corian stuff can scratch/burn...So really, from a landlord standpoint, a good solid stone like granite, esp one that hides dirt & marks is really as ideal as you can get. It'll last & always look fairly new.

Then again, I rent houses in a college town & abuse is common...we're not dealing with high end renters.

while I have seen Urban rip off designers WAY too often & agree that's what they're doing here, this is a common enough design...I've been selling them on & off etsy for years- http://www.etsy.com/listing/62629518/custom-state-necklace

and I've seen other designers do them as well. UO is doing a shoddy job on theirs though!

I've remodeled MANY houses that have had this & the carpet we pull out of there is the grossest thing ever. Almost always there's mold, woodrot on the subfloor & hidden urine stains & weird spots on the carpet pad. Not to mention the amount of funky dust & dirt that gets trapped. SO GROSS.
Bathrooms are high traffic moist areas, carpet is not a good mix

my mom is doing a vineyard & we had our big harvest this fall...it was a neat process. I got the first part (picking, destemming & crushing) in my album. http://www.flickr.com/photos/sudlowjewelry/sets/72157624776262036/

I'll have to do the bottling pics here in a few weeks!

I love Old overholt for a good horsefeather (I think that's what it's called)- rye whiskey, ginger ale & a tiny dash of bitters

I keep a little jar of baking soda in my shower & just use it as a scrub...sometimes I mix in a bit of castile soap. showering makes it so I thoroughly wash it off. I just make a watery paste & use it where needed

we went with home depot's windows & couldnt be happier. Their quality is really quite nice & they replace parts for free if they're broken (including the glass). They had the highest R value for the price.

Yup, I use these papers to print shipping labels on (which I then cutout & compost the small bits of scrap). I've cut down on buying reams of paper by SO MUCH. Especially as we're refinancing our house & have used so much paper in that process

if selling AND buying, find a realtor that deals in houses similar to yours...they'll know the ins & outs of that particular style & be able to explain a lot more. If you're shopping for a fixer upper, done get a realtor who only does high end & vice versa
