If it were me doing this, I would roast and carve the chickens the day before, then heat them up in the oven the day of. I liked Famous Amos's tip about misting with wine or stock while you are warming them.

I have granite in my kitchen (previous owners installed it) and didn't realize that you have to reseal it every year! Does anyone have any information on products and how to do this?

Hm. After reading Merceroo's comment about how the recipe took 65 minutes to make...removing this from my list. I need fast recipes.

Eggs and avocados have the healthy kind of fats and cholesterol because they're natural. French fries fried in grease...not so much.

Our bodies need fat so we can absorb vitamins and minerals. So don't be afraid of eating natural fats like those found in avocados and eggs!

I'm with GumShoeGracie, I rarely cook when I am alone. Maybe I will poach an egg or make a fried-egg sandwich...but that is the extent. Usually I will just heat up leftovers or pick at something. If I do eat a meal, I sit at the dining table and read my book.

You had me at "12 ounces of dark beer."

This is definitely on my list. I love a good steak!

I mix raw oat bran with milk and honey every night and let it sit in the fridge overnight...it soaks up much of the milk that way and then I just nuke it for a minute in the a.m. I know that you are without a fridge though...maybe you could just set it out on your porch if you have one and it's cold outside?

I have this exact same model and LOVE it! It is really easy and makes things so creamy. I don't use it that often, only when I am making something pureed. My girlfriend uses hers to make her own pasta sauce.

Hell yes I accept help. Especially when I'm a guest, I would rather help out and be doing something than sitting and being waited on...just feels weird to me...so I figure everyone else feels that same way.

Oh wow this looks perfect! I love to make homemade pizzas when people come over...but am always looking for a neat breadstick type app to serve first without resorting to the frozen blah kind...I will definitely be making these next time I make pizzas!

This looks amazing! I love barbacoa at Chipotle.

I was confused by the "4 peppers and adobo" too...I do think it means from a can though. Just pick out four of the peppers in the can and include the adobo sauce.

I like it when recipes tell you how much time is involved. Especially, the total time and the "active" time. I typically don't make recipes that take longer than 45 minutes to make (and that's at the high end.)

Also, a medium-sized ingredient list. I've found that recipes with too few ingredients can be kind of blah. But too many is just pretty intense for my lifestyle.

Also agreeing with everyone else re: photos.
