I remember seeing (and liking) the rug in the Room and Board story and then saw it for sale in the Crate and Barrel catalogue. I had the two catalogues open side by side and sure enough, same rug. i say go for it. i've mixed my own colors before with great results. the color on my living room wall has no less than four different colors mixed together, and not all were the same sheen or even the same brand! the final result turned out to be just the color i wanted and couldn't find on any paint deck (and the sheen is lovely, somewhere in between flat and eggshell, not splotchy at all) Apartment Therapy - Good Questions: Will Mixing Paint Colors Mess Up My End Result? |

for me, the salad of the season has been halved organic grape tomatoes dressed with extra virgin olive oil, sprinkled with fleur de sel and cracked black pepper, and garnished with mint (picked fresh from my terrace!). simple enough to toss together, but those sweet (and slippery) little grape tomatoes can be tricky to cut in half - i'd love a chance to test out the tomato knife on them.
