I think it looks great, however I also think they could have kept the existing cabinets and repainted them. The other upgrades are nice though. I do like a white kitchen personally. I did take down my ancient crumbling ceiling high cabinets and replace them with ones that are not touching the ceiling and I regret it! The top of the cabinets get really greasy/dusty and I lost storage. I thought it would open up the space but I am not sure that it really does. I am now trying to figure out how to back fill that upper space. Sigh.

Kale soup! With a sensitive digestive system! I have normal digestion and I love Kale but sometimes the feeling is NOT mutual. I would not give her Kale!

We used one like this for yard waste only when I was growing up in our tiny back yard in NYC. We had a wild box turtle that over wintered in it every year!

We ended up putting the mini fridge from my kids college days in my dining room. We love having cold sparkling water at arms length during dining, We also can keep beer and white wines that I like cooler than the wine fridge will go. I love it, function over looks. Its an appliance and it works for us (it is tucked under a parsons table server though).

Bought a bottle of raw milk in Philly last week at the Reading Terminal Market. It was delicious and gorgeous. It was a beautiful cream color, my other container of milk looked anemic next to it! It was also NOT homogenized, so yes it had what my son referred to as "chunks". The bits of butterfat were luscious little specks and there was the cream at the top of the container. Reminded me so much of the milk that the "milkman" used to deliver to our house in Brooklyn.

I live in the burbs of NYC and commute everyday, I would love to shop more often but I have the option of shopping in Manhattan and hauling it all on my horrible commute back to suburbia, or driving to the store once home. Neither is a good idea since my day is long and time is short. I would like to move to a city that has a walkable lifestyle (Philly is on the short list right now, since Manhattan is soooo much more expensive), especially since we are at a retirement/new career point in our lives. An article on the best cities/places to lead these lives would be terrific.

Any advice on Linen sheets? I am so unhappy with the cotton I am using now ( I even have Frette sheets that are covered in rough pills!) I am tempted to invest the money in Linen.

The current Crate and Barrel catalog shows an L shaped use of a 48" and 36" Pilsen glass topped desks. It looked nice in the catalog and they were $199 and $179 not too painful.

I care about the environment, but I cannot use rough paper. It really is an issue for some of us. Besides the level of softness it cannot leave paper crumbs, yuk! I also cannot understand when I am in a public ladies room and hear people unrolling yards and yards, I figure I aid the environment by not making a paper nest!
