Does anyone know where to find the "1", "2" and "3" laundry baskets above? My plastic ones are broken and I'd like to replace them with something non-plastic, but am having some trouble figuring out ideas. Thanks! Renovation Inspiration: Bold Colored Countertops |

When I was 14, I spent 10 days in Japan and part of that was homestays. The families were incredibly gracious, but I think they must have been told that they had to feed the Americans beef - we enjoyed having hamburgers that were a bit different than what you'd have here (the spicing, somehow) but enjoyed much more trying the rice dishes the kids took for lunch, and the other Japanese foods that we'd never seen before. So, yes, I completely second the advice, after checking for dietary restrictions against any specific types of food. Entertaining Guests from Another Country? I did it, mostly, the first week. It made me realize how rarely I really cook full meals for myself. I liked most of the recipies and particularly found the snack ideas helpful, although I started eating the "dessert" as my late afternoon snack as to avoid extreme hunger by the time I got home from work. However, as a single person, even though I tried to modify the dinners to make fewer servings, by the end of the week I had so many left overs that I spent the second week just eating those. It was good discipline, but I wish they had published a version in addition to the one they did (which was basically 1 serving per breakfast/lunch and 4 per dinner) that was just for people that live alone. I know this is a basic question, but can someone explain if you need one of these types of devices to be able to watch internet tv (hulu and/or an occasional rental video from amazon or itunes) on a flat screen tv - why can't I just connect my laptop to the TV and use it as a second monitor? I'm talking a 24" tv, not a huge one. Thanks! What's New With TV Set Top Boxes |

Go simple...I take soup all the time for lunch, and have never had one of the round ziploc with the screw-on lids leak. (http://www.ziploc.com/Products/Pages/TwistLocContainers.aspx?SizeName=Small) I don't microwave in them, but they are cheap, and - what drew me to them in the first place - both the lids and the containers stack! Plus, the lids for the small and medium sizes are the same. Desperately Seeking: No-Leak Soup Containers for Lunches | Apartment Therapy The Kitchn |

While I sympathize with the "eat real fat in desserts in moderation" theory of menu planning rather than "eat fat-free dairy products as much as you want" theory, I'm with the first poster - in my house, this would be an indulgence dessert, given the cream. I guess what is "lighter" just depends on your perspective. Icebox Banana Cheesecake Recipe Review | Apartment Therapy The Kitchn |

I keep a list on the freezer door of what I've frozen, when, and how many containers, and cross off as I go. Labelling seemed great but unlikely/more of a pain - if I know what the possibilities are I can usually figure out which containers are which, and having it on the door helps me remember to eat the various things.
