Have two pair of them. Question: How do you select the source input for them? If I want to switch between TV input or DVD input or computer input, is there an easier way to do that than manually unplugging the input cable and moving it over to another source?

I think the quality of light produced by CFLs is actually better. You get your choice of Kelvin color temperatures. Personally I like the "bright white" which is whiter than incandesent but not as blue toned as the brightest "sun like" fluorescent tubes.

Yes, I think the government has the right to produce legislation to help wean us off energy-wasting products, to produce legislation that is for the longer term greater good...

Joff, where did you get that Parsons dining table?

If you don't mind spending the money, get it refinished/painted by a furniture professional (based on your one photo I'd vote for white). Unless you're really experienced with refinishing furniture, I wouldn't recommend DIY refinish on a brand new table. Look into a durable finish (not lacquer) to stand up to dining room use.
