I want to do this, but have it also be useable as a bench seat. I don't know if those Ikea lockers would support my generous bottom. . . . High & Low: A Row of Cabinets as a Sideboard |

I've got the CB2 chair and like it a lot. I put an Ikea sheepskin over it and a small pillow for lumbar support. Maybe that seems like a lot of work and extras, but it's not really. Comfortable, Stylish, Reasonably Priced Office Chair? Good Questions | Apartment Therapy DC |

Loved the bathroom so much! The whole place is great and happy-making, but that bathroom . . . damn! I want! Jason and John's Hyper Saturated Home, Part IHouse Tour | Apartment Therapy New York |

I'm not down with sleeping on a bedroll next to a non-functioning kitchen sink, but other than that, this is pretty close to my dream home. Love the wall colors! (And I'm a woman too!) Apartment Therapy Boston | The Strange Unusual Collections of Martin Gee The World of Interiors |

I lived with a full-on hoarder. He had a great, cheap apartment that he had been using for storage while he mainly crashed at my place. Then I lost my job, so we decided to turn his place into a liveable space. Ugh. I threw out dumpsters full of newspapers (he saved the NY Times) and the place was still filled to the brim with crap. The building's super was so happy when I moved in, thinking I could put an end to the giant fire hazard. Um, nope. He even saved those clear, flimsy plastic bags you put vegetables in at the supermarket. And twist ties. And every piece of mail he ever received EVER. Ugh. I wish I could've kept the apartment (it was a cheap penthouse) and lost him and his stuff. Apartment Therapy DC | Living With: A Pack Rat |

If the photo showed the bed holding piles of towels or even stacks of money it wouldn't have creeped me out. But loaded with guns—it reminds me of that couple who kidnapped a young woman: Apartment Therapy Chicago | Bed Bunker: Perfect For The Zombie Apocolypse |

That duvet cover is $600! You could get a real suzani for 1/6th the price on ebay. Apartment Therapy Los Angeles | Round Up: Suzani Prints |

I hate to get all grouchy, but yeah, why the man cave? Because we ladies wile away our hours in the kitchen, baking cookies with a babe hanging off each breast? Blech. That aside, nice room. Apartment Therapy San Francisco | Rainn Wilson's Home Office/Man Cave |

I lived right on top of THREE Indian restaurants (two in the basement, one parlor level) 15 years ago and I still get a little gaggy when I smell curry. The smell was so intense it permeated everything I owned. I could've stuffed my pillows with potpourri and lit a thousand scented candles and still been overwhelmed. And the roaches! Oh my god, the roaches were EVERYWHERE. It was a very cheap apartment but put me off Indian food forever. I dealt with it by moving. The tenant before me removed all the doors and I hate them for it. Unless you live alone, it's nice to have a door to shut for a little solo time. Plus, you can't really punctuate a good argument with a swoosh of the curtain as you flounce out of the room. Apartment Therapy New York | AT on: 10 Tips for Small Spaces |

That stain would freak me out because mattresses with huge stains like that are generally that way because someone died in the bed. I know that sounds macabre and disgusting, but that's what it looks like to me. That chair gives me the creeps. Apartment Therapy Chicago | Good Questions: Fix for Stained Leather Chair? |

My friends and I have often talked about doing something like this. Granted, our separate-but-equal, semi-communal home(s) would a lot more downmarket, but I love the idea. These are two single artist broads who are getting older and want the companionship that having someone close by offers. They both have their privacy, but have someone there if they need them. It makes aging a whole lot less scary. Apartment Therapy New York | Roommates: Artist's Loft for Two The New York Times 1.22.09 |

I had an ex-boyfriend who worried about me and so made me a weapon by taking a bat and studding it with nails. It looked very scary, but it was also too heavy to wield with any kind of control. I found screaming a far more effective deterrent when someone tried to break into my place. They ran like hell. Apartment Therapy Los Angeles | Do You Keep a Bat Under the Bed? |

These are so hideous that I would seriously break up with my partner if he brought one home. I would sooner put a filthy litter box in the center of my living room before I'd let any of those through the front door. Apartment Therapy Chicago | A Reluctant Roundup: Gaming Chairs |

Snoopystar, my mom did that too! We moved from a house into an apartment and were very concerned that Santa would have no way to get in and, more importantly, no place to hang our stockings!
