Hi Riian,

I tried to get that coffee table "made from strips of wood"! I was so intrigued by the title of the ad - and laughing. I emailed the person within minutes of the posting and there was already a line ahead of me. Shucks.

It's a wonderful design. Anything that looks like potato chips is a winner with me. I think it would also look nice if you stitched the rows of felted circles onto a sheer or solid background fabric. Thanks for the inspiration!

I think that's Victoria's place (sfgirlbybay.blogspot.com). She said she cleaned her flat for the previous renters in exchange for their lighting fixtures. She may know where they bought it.

Wow Anh-Minh, you're so kind. Merci beaucoup for the post!
I didn't know anything about it until someone who had read it came into the shop. In fact, anyone who comes by and mentions Apartment Therapy will get a special discount :)
Thank you kindly, Sylvie

I never pass up a lamp just because it's not working. It's so simple to rewire a lamp. It takes minutes. Even if it needs a new socket it only takes a screw driver to connect it all. I get a lot of satisfaction out of replacing old cords (even if they are working) with beautiful fabric cords. See here: http://www.antiquelampco.com/Catalog/Cord.htm

Thanks for the tip about the coffee table benches!

Merci Boomer for showing my chair as an example! I'm honored :)

In fact, I had given Giselle a quote for reupholstering that chair of hers at $365. Such a deal.

Merci Beaucoup Lisa!! You are a great writer, and you have exceptional taste!

Hi Becky. Someone at Sunset Magazine told me that I was on Design Public's blog (a couple of months back?). Maybe that's where you saw the blue dresser! I have a PDF of the article posted on my Flickr if you're interested in seeing it:

And merci for the compliment Muhtari :) That's very kind of you. It can be frustrating sometimes, living and designing in obscurity, not having perspective on what I'm doing. I appreciate the support.
