Interesting theory. What I can't wrap my head around, though, is how they came to the conclusion that they would only need a house for 10 years before it's "useful life" was over? I guess if you have the luxury of simply moving on and building another home, but who does?

I have this butterfly in a jar, and I LOVE it. I also have a firefly version with a glowing pink firefly. Both were purchased at Walmart of all places!
Children LOVE this little gadget. Of course, I keep it up on a shelf, and sit with them while they hold it and tap on the lid (which activates it's fluttering).
The firefly is beautiful in the dark, and I bring it into bed with my 19 month old daughter to play with in the dark (again, supervised). It's magical!

15 to 30 min time outs is way too long for any child. You're supposed to give them a minute for every year of their life. So, unless you're putting a 15 to 30 year old (Ha!) in a time out, you don't need much.

I bet sugar or salt would do as well, instead of sand.

Love that cabinet. I also like the suggestion of painting the trim around the windows teal. If it were me, I would have made the stencil pattern the size of a dinner plate, and gone all the way to the edges of the wall. The color choice is awesome.

It really is pretty. I saved a photo *Just* like this in my favourites folder about 3 years ago in case I ever had a daughter. Now I do, and I'm thinking it may be time for this project to come to life! I don't remember where I originally found it, but here's the image. My first instinct was "it looks awesome the way it is".
If it were me (and I tend to be pretty brave with paint), I'd go with a soft (but not too soft) pink. It would look great with the grellow table, red chair, grey sofa and existing artwork.

I see potential for some awesome photographs of people in the tub here. Maybe a baby playing in some shallow water? It would be neat to see all the toys floating on top of the water.
